In Poland there's a running joke about the US celebrating our Independance Day in that way.

It’s been reported that drivers in Los Angeles spend an average of 102 hours a year in traffic jams, which is the most in the world.

Again, I may be belaboring the point, but the metro has increased its area of service pretty dramatically. They’ve added a bunch of new lines and while it’s not quite state of the art, it’s much faster than and convenient than this freakish waste of a perfectly good evening ….

That's just a normal day in that stretch of the 405, heading into the 101.

The 405 Freeway, or Interstate 405, is a major north-south freeway spanning approximately 70 miles in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, California. Known for heavy traffic, especially during peak hours, it connects densely populated areas and passes landmarks such as the Getty Center, UCLA, and Los Angeles International Airport. The Sepulveda Pass is a notable section as it traverses the Santa Monica Mountains and is frequently discussed in the context of traffic challenges.
