Man arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving following the death of a 20 year old man after car leaves road A 20-year-old man has died following a crash on Hawksworth Road in Baildon last night. Officers were called at 7.24pm on 22 June to reports an Audi A3 convertible had left the road near the junction with Potter Brow Road. Four people were in the car. A 23-year-old man remains in hospital with serious injuries, while another 23-year-old was treated for minor injuries. The 24-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody.

🚨 Two teenage boys have been charged following reports of a stolen vehicle from a holiday park on Anthonys Bank Road in Humberston yesterday (Tuesday, 4 August 2026). A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving and burglary. A 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, burglary and possession of a class B drug. Both have been remanded into custody to appear at Grimsby Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday, 5 August 2026). At around 2.20pm it was reported two boys broke into a caravan before a car was stolen from Anthonys Bank Road in Humberston. It was then reported this was driven erratically before allegedly colliding with another vehicle on Julian Street in Grimsby.

46-year-old Daniel Sean James has been charged with the murder of Kirandeep Kaur, who police say was sleeping in her bedroom alongside her husband and their three-month-old baby when he allegedly broke into their home and stabbed her in the chest. After the attack, he jumped from a window and broke both of his ankles before being arrested by police.
