It’s always struck me as ironic: during the 9-to-5 hours, enforcement is everywhere, clamping down on minor infractions with almost theatrical precision. Yet come evening and into the night, the same streets are strewn with takeaway waste, and enforcement seems to vanish. Instead, councils quietly send out street cleaners each morning, as if this cycle of neglect is just part of the system. Why the heavy-handed tactics for minor daytime offenders, but none of the same energy for tackling the nighttime mess? Perhaps they know that trying such enforcement at night would require security teams just to keep their officers safe. I’m not condoning littering—someone has to clean it up eventually—but the hypocrisy is glaring. It’s not about cleanliness; it’s about convenience, and the double standard is hard to ignore.

Why sub Saharan Africans doing enforcement in the UK...? We appear to have absolutely no sovereignty.

Yes. These council goons have zero authority. Laugh at them and walk on. Should they physically lay even a hand on you, record, report, and sue.
