Well, if you squint

I feel like if it was genuinely a legacy sequel it would be way more deferential to Kyle Chandler’s Hal. The series has been so bluntly underlining how few people in the end respected him or how little he was liked while legacy sequels have had people fawning over their impact

Incidentally, I've just rewatched the first episode of this (an old favourite of mine) and godammit, I think I'll rewatch the entire thing. Not enough cats distributing papers on TV these days, with the death of print media and whatnot.

They did a remake a few years ago. I wonder how they handled that

reading up on this (it got pilot with Alice Eve before getting cancelled) and it looks like they've ramped up the fantasy elements - with protagonist receiving honest to good printed paper in the year 2022

Just looked up what this show is about and OH MY GOD I need to watch this

I always wanted to watch this but could never find it.

It was on TV when I was growing up, I remember catching the first season as it aired.

This just reminds me of when they watched Alien Private Eye on Best of the Worst, and the only other credit by the director was creating this show.
