That’s two for the root beer candy, but many are claiming it’s taffy that’s why they’re pulling it to put air into it.

True, but taffy doesn't turn hard like this candy is tho.

That’s old kind of candy that’s for sure. I don’t think they even sell that anymore.

Such a beautiful color she creates. Candy making is an art. I’ve only tried it a few times. What candy was this?

We don’t know. Some are saying is the old hard root beer candy and some are saying it’s taffy. I thought it looked like hard candy to me.

This is the process by which taffy is traditionally made. The taffy was being kneeded by the machine and then the ropes were laid out as the taffy was refined further. Making it into the candy we know at the stores.

I’ve seen them stretching taffy at the fair - but that looks like it got hard. But I think you’re right. It’s taffy.

@MTDillard3712 They make hard candy by drawing it out into long ropes, which they cut into pieces. Here, though, they're pulling it (with a machine) to introduce tiny air pockets, which make it chewable.

@LandOfTheLocke Taffy Hard candy So could eventually be either, I guess, depending on what happens after the stage in the original vid.

I have no idea, but because of the size it could be hard candy. I think Tay comes in bigger chunks. Someone said it looked like that old root beer hard candy. But they do stretch taffy like that - but maybe it depends on how long you stretch it whether it gets hard or not. They were small for pieces of taffy.
