@benshapiro When evaluating a conflict, look for the side that best represents Western Civilization. If one side clearly does, and one side clearly doesn't (to the point of actively repudiating Western values), the answer is easy: Go with Western Civilization.

@benshapiro I fully agree. Ben Shapiro's values and decency shine through in this speech, but unfortunately there are Shapiro-haters who cannot transcend their hate of Shapiro and simply dismiss the important messages that he convey.

@benshapiro I'm starting to think that Ben Shapiro and Konstantin Kissin are the two best debaters on the entire planet. Both these gentlemen are extremely cogent in their arguments. Their cadence right on. Delivery superb. And their mastery of the Queen's English is unrivaled.

@benshapiro This is what happens when university admissions processes prioritise ‘diversity’ over merit. You end up with students unable to make a point without notes on their phone and unable to react to their opponents counter arguments. Oxford is not what it once was!

Where this argument goes wrong is that we're arguing on moral grounds, where it should be held on technical grounds. On moral grounds, both sides are killing children, making it hard for some to see further than that. On technical grounds, however, the focus comes to cause and effect. One side is attempting to run a civilisation. The other is attempting to destroy one, and put nothing comparable in its place. Allow Israel to run the region unopposed, and we've seen what happens -- prosperity, freedom, art, science. Allow Hamas the same, and in twenty years there will still be poverty, suffering, ignorance, rape and murder. Israel kills to protect something worth protecting. Hamas kills because it's all they know. Let them and their supporters win, and it's all any of us will know.
