There is already a charitable sector in place that Supermarkets provide excess food to and that is distributed to those in need. The government should seek to strengthen the charitable sector rather than this.

She’s not wrong about the amount of food we are capable of producing. We had plenty on the shelves, at reasonable prices, when we had farmers subsidies. Then we went global market.
