They're just all in on it, and gave them the storyline. I think thats more feasible than a time travler theory, which I don't discredit as being possible either.

Actually, as someone who follows China pretty closely (but pretends not to, to troll Chinese apologists on X), this was discussed behind the scenes prior to 2012. Part of these plans became public knowledge on 2015, with the “Made In China 2025” plan (initiative). Anyone interested, start by reading Kill Chain and The Hundred Year Marathon.
