Property taxes are tied to rising home values. As neighborhoods become more expensive, assessments increase and tax bills rise with them. The problem is that homeowners do not need to sell their property, earn more income, or receive any actual cash for those bills to go up. A couple who bought a modest home in the late 1980s may now live in a property worth several times what they originally paid. On paper, they look wealthier. In reality, they may still be relying entirely on Social Security or retirement savings that have not kept pace with rising costs. That creates a situation where people can become “house rich but cash poor.” They technically own valuable property, but the monthly tax burden can become impossible to manage. Many states do offer relief programs for seniors, including homestead exemptions, tax freezes, and income based credits. But these programs are often difficult to access, limited by strict qualifications, or reduced when budgets tighten. The people who need the help most are often the least likely to successfully navigate the system. It is possible to support property taxes as a way to fund essential public services while also recognizing that the system needs reform for older homeowners living on fixed incomes. “Met Police can go to hell.” Palestine Action and its supporters have sent a clear message: they have nothing but contempt for Metropolitan Police frontline officers. When a group of extremists takes to the streets to defend a soon-to-be proscribed terrorist group and protest against those who risk their lives to keep our streets safe, it is a frighteningly clear indication that something has gone very wrong in this country. The authorities have a lot to answer for. This ban on Palestine Action — as called for by CAA and others — is a good start, but it should have happened a long time ago, as should bans on these kinds of protests. This must be the start of a clampdown on lawlessness and extremism if it is to be of any consequence.

This weekend I had the opportunity to attend the very first Prop Firm Expo by Prop Firm Match What an incredible event. Yes, it was crowded. Yes, it was hot. And yes, the lines were long. But if anything, that was a testament to just how popular prop trading has become in London, far beyond what many of us expected. It was amazing to see an online community come together in person. Traders had the chance to meet the founders and leaders of some of the biggest prop firms, connect with the streamers and educators they watch every day, and exchange ideas with fellow traders from around the world. It was a great opportunity to learn, network, and pick up new ideas to improve their trading. Having attended trading events around the world for more than two decades, I can honestly say the energy and enthusiasm of the prop community is unmatched. Thank you to Prop Firm Match for inviting me to be a part of it. I’m already looking forward to next year. I have no doubt the venue will need to be even bigger. Grateful to have been part of such a memorable first event.

Good morning to everyone in Massachusetts who agrees with Senator Warren’s honest admission that Democrats are no longer trusted by working Americans. When Warren says, “Once, we were trusted by working people,” that should be a wake-up call, not a throwaway line. Trust isn’t lost overnight. It’s lost when families feel squeezed by rising costs, when policies sound good on paper but make daily life harder, and when elected officials seem more focused on ideology than results. Working people want affordability, accountability, and common sense. At this point, even Democrats are saying the quiet part out loud. With this said, it is likely that Republicans will attempt to override the veto. Cooper stated: "This bill has nothing to do with making women safer, and everything to do with banning their reproductive freedom." I stand with Cooper on this decision and feel that access to abortions should be between a woman and her doctor. Everyone's situation is different and their beliefs are as well. Hear me out: The Bloc said they won't vote with Conservatives on a non-confidence motion solely on carbon tax and they shouldn't but the Conservatives should give them what they want - separation. "It comes to no surprise to anyone the Bloc Quebecois does want an independent Quebec, we will succeed one day. Everyone that works with us here in Ottawa they know we are independentists that we want independence and they know that eventually Quebec will be come a country." Pierre should campaign on letting Quebers have that opportunity. A separate Quebec would be one of the best things for Canada and best things for the CPC.

You probably think you need to do more cardio. Longer workouts. More miles. More suffering. But what if you just made the walk you're already taking a little more challenging? I've been a big fan of weighted vests for years because they're simple. You put one on, go for a walk, and suddenly your body has to do more work without you spending any more time exercising. These friends are out to eat at a fancy restaurant. For desert, they ordered a chocolate piñata that they are supposed to break with a little mallet and enjoy. The instructions weren’t clear for what she was supposed to do, however she assumed that it was the plate she was supposed to hit and she hit it, broke it and it turned out to just be an actual dish instead of candy. However any person who saw this would figure out that it was the chocolate she was supposed to hit, was this the restaurant’s fault or was she just not paying attention, should she have to pay for that plate?
