All of the metal connectors and screws, and you set it on a concrete pier with a 64 square inch footprint buried 6 inches in topsoil? Plus the new pressure treated ground contact wood is worthless for rot resistance, does anyone look at the weakest link?

This post isnโt moving he says!!! The frost says โฆhold my beer ๐ป!!!โ lol

๐ช Merica, we're taking it back. ๐ฏ You like Trump, you know it, time to show it. โ T's for Trump here:

That post has been screwed more times than me

Itโll sink. The bottom of the post will rot. The extra braces should allow water to escape. But they look like theyโd allow it to pool. Screw this.

Till it rots in all those holes. But strong for several years

Not sure of application but for a 6' fence post hole should be at least 24" deep and you need an 8' 4x4. Dig the hole, level the post, then add the concrete. THAT would be a post that isn't moving. this thing isn't really anchored, it could float away or get knocked over.

Anyone with a civil engineering degree is shaking their head right now.

Honey, that post is too close to the patio.

Hope dirt ground is solid. Should have filled in the hole with compacted gravel first

The ground moving will affect it.
