We exit the Emirates FA Cup. Thank you to everyone who joined us on the road and at home over our 7 FA Cup matches. Congratulations to the team and management for getting so far in the competition, beating our club history. We won against multiple teams in higher leagues and you truly showed your determination and skill. Mzinga, Muridjo, and Kamili are good friends — but it’s every nanny for herself when precious Kipekee is in the picture. The nannies bump, barge, and body-check each other as they jockey for prime position next to the little girl — and so it goes until they are well into the forest! Kipekee is the latest addition to our foster programme. Rescued in June, this tiny orphan lost her mother to human-wildlife conflict. I met with President of Finland Alexander Stubb and Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre. I informed them about contacts at the leaders’ level in the E3–Ukraine format as well as our contacts with the American side. Right now, all our partners note that Ukraine’s positions on the frontline are significantly stronger, and therefore the approaches in diplomacy, which we are now working to reinvigorate, must be based precisely on this. Unfortunately, Russia is trying to compensate for its enormous losses on the battlefield with strikes on our cities and communities, on civilian infrastructure. That is why air defense missiles are our top priority. And we discussed how to secure additional supplies for Ukraine right now, as well as efforts to develop a European anti-ballistic missile system. I am grateful to Alex and Jonas, and to the people of Finland and Norway, for their steadfast assistance and support. We appreciate that our agreements are being implemented.

As more horrific details emerge, Afghan migrants lurking outside schools, women followed at night, men hiding in bushes, and migrants loitering throughout our community, fear has gripped this once-peaceful town. This community is terrified. Parents are scared to send their children to school. Women no longer feel safe walking the streets. Prime Minister Bjarni Benediktsson and I signed a security cooperation and long-term support agreement between Ukraine and Iceland. The fixed annual financial support for 2024-2028 is at least €30 million. Iceland pledged to provide Ukraine with long-term economic, humanitarian, and defense assistance, as well as to facilitate its future EU and NATO membership. A unique feature of the agreement is that Iceland commits to continued support for the transportation of military supplies and equipment from NATO allies to Ukraine by chartered cargo planes. We are grateful to Iceland for supporting our people in their defense against Russian terror and aggression. 🇺🇦🇮🇸
