The EU on average spend 21% more per person on their health service. NHS staff are complaining that patients are refusing to be treated by non-white doctors and nurses. It’s not because of “racism.” It’s because frontline care is getting worse after thousands of foreign doctors and nurses who barely speak English, lack compassion, and have fraudulent qualifications have been hired in recent years. Despite funding increasing every year, now to £225 billion, and 1.5 million staff, the NHS cannot meet demand. Arbitrary caps on medical school and hospital placements mean we reject qualified British doctors and nurses, and recruit inferior counterparts from the Third World instead. The NHS spends £3 billion in annual malpractice payouts and £40 billion on mandatory DEI training, teaching them to resent their white patients. The result is poor care, long wait times, missed diagnoses, and preventable complications and deaths. But politicians are too afraid of blaspheming against Britain’s national religion to admit it. This week, my wife, now twenty-five weeks pregnant with twins, suffered a blood clot and severe swelling in her left leg. She spent seventeen hours waiting for an assessment. She was seen by an African nurse who barely spoke English and made multiple spelling errors in her referral letter, and another who shouted at her for speaking too slowly and in too much detail about her symptoms. I documented the ordeal in a series of X posts, which attracted millions of views. The comments were filled with people sharing similar horrifying stories. Thank you to everyone who provided their prayers, advice, and concern for my wife and children. The NHS is forcing patients to either risk being called "racist" or not receive proper treatment. I would rather offend someone than let my loved ones die. It doesn’t have to be this way. We could scrap public sector DEI, stop replacing qualified domestic talent with incompetent and fraudulent foreigners, and stop running the NHS as an international health service that spends billions on translation services. That would require a government willing not only to abandon antiracist ideology and reject the mantra that “Diversity is our strength”, but also to challenge the sacralised status of the NHS. The longer they don’t, the more lives are ruined and lost to incompetence.

This clip has caused quite a stir - I stand by every word. It's estimated that the NHS spends £100 million a year on translation/interpretation. Is that a cost the British taxpayer should bear? The answer is a resounding no. I'm told that foreign patients feel 'more comfortable speaking in their native language'. To be entirely honest, so what? It's not our problem. If that's the case, they can bring a friend/translator - as Brits have to do all over the world if we want to access healthcare. That, or use tech/AI, which can provide rapid and incredibly accurate translation services. Not forgetting that we also have a huge issue with foreign nationals using the NHS, and then not paying. The Department of Health has confirmed to me that £100,000,000 was the amount due from 'chargeable overseas visitors' in 2022/23 for NHS treatment. The amount actually collected? Just £32,000,000. So yes, we should be more aware of people unable to speak English accessing NHS services - failure to pay invoices is costing us a vast amount of money every year. Clearly, exceptions should be made for sign language and Welsh speakers, but this is a minuscule amount of overall translation costs. Why should the British taxpayer fund translation into Romanian? Urdu? Bengali? And hundreds of other languages. Sorry, but it is NOT our problem. And you know what? A huge number of MPs agree with what I'm saying, but don't have the balls to say it. The country would be in a far better place if our politicians would outline uncomfortable truths, even if it results in being insulted and abused. I don't care. The NHS pleads poverty, then pumps money into translation/DEI. Health service leadership needs to get urgently get its priorities in order. We need a selfish NHS, that puts the British people first.

Dear 🇬🇧, We junior doctors are set to launch another period of strikes for 5 consecutive days from 24-28 February. Striking must always be a last resort and I’m furious that we still have to be doing this for a 10th time but with news this week that Rishi Sunak is personally preventing a resolution to the #DoctorsStrike because he doesn’t want nurses and other NHS staff to have their pay restored too — something all of us truly deserve — it’s an absolute necessity that we keep fighting. It is simply not okay that a qualified doctor working a 48hr/week contract starts at £15/hr with £100,000 student debt and earns far less than our PA colleagues (no shade) who have less training and less debt. It is not okay that our NHS colleagues are visiting food banks. It is not okay that NHS hospitals are crumbling from the catastrophic defunding of the NHS of £400 billion pounds over the last decade. It is not okay that patients are suffering on the longest waiting list in NHS history at over 7.6m. It is not okay that 25,000 people died last year due to preventable delays accessing NHS emergency care. It is not okay that 24 hours in A&E is no longer just a TV show. It is not okay that millions cannot see a GP, an NHS dentist, or receive their Cancer care here in one of the wealthiest countries on Earth. Until and unless we have safe staffing levels across the country then every one of these shocking failures of this government will not improve. Without adequate staff, patients will not be protected and their care will continue to be delayed and denied. Pay restoration for NHS staff back to what we were earning in 2008 is not unreasonable and is the only way to stop this catastrophic staff haemorrhage overnight. So please join us in urging this government to come back to the table, to meet with our elected representatives from The BMA, and to prevent the next round of strikes from taking place. Last night, after midnight, I visited Buzibwera Health Centre IV in Buzibwera Town Council, which houses the headquarters of Mbarara District and serves a highly populated area. A resident reported that one of the midwives advised him to transfer his pregnant wife to Mbarara because the facility does not conduct deliveries on weekends. He further alleged that he was charged UGX 100,000 to use the ambulance. The health workers also highlighted gaps, including the lack of essential equipment such as an ultrasound scan. I have directed that an audit be carried out on the number of staff at the facility and that these concerns be forwarded to my senior colleague the Minister in charge of Health, Hon. DR. CHRIS BARYOMUNSI, for urgent action to address these gaps and improve service delivery. EXCLUSIVE: Taking punches from patients: nurse speaks out on alarming assaults at Twin Cities hospital Heidi Linhoff, a registered nurse in the emergency department at M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis, joined Liz Collin on her podcast. Linhoff spoke about some of the harrowing stories of young patients assaulting nurses and hospital staff without consequences. She explained how some staff members have had their jobs ended due to the injuries they suffered—and how others have chosen to leave out of fear. She detailed stories of nurses and other staff suffering concussions, broken bones, and taking punches from patients. “The injuries have forced a lot of people to leave because they're scared,” she said. “And I was literally dumbfounded that we do nothing, that it seems to be acceptable to, you know, to assault a healthcare worker.”

$Trigger warning: this podcast contains themes of mental health and suicide. It’s a particularly emotional podcast this week. I was joined by Lynsey and her husband Kieran – who is a NHS GP - who talk me through how Lynsey’s mental health deteriorated rapidly during her perimenopause which saw her sectioned under the Mental Health Act. She sustained multiple fractures after trying to end her life and was in a trauma hospital for a few weeks. She was prescribed numerous drugs and even received nine sessions of ECT without any improvement. Her husband had to battle to finally have HRT prescribed for her which thankfully has improved her to the extent she no longer experiences these intrusive thoughts. Lynsey was very keen to tell her story and I was very keen to share it because talking about our experiences is a way of helping others. There urgently needs more training about menopause and safe prescribing of HRT in all specialities (including for psychiatrists) so suffering like Lynsey’s no longer occurs. SHE SAW PATIENTS DYING IN SOILED SHEETS AND REPORTED IT. HER COLLEAGUES THREATENED HER. THE RCN TOLD HER TO SHUT UP. Helene Donnelly (Helene E Donnelly) was an A&E nurse at Stafford Hospital. What she witnessed was not a bad day at work. Patients denied food. Patients denied pain relief. Patients lying in their own urine and excrement, left there. She raised the alarm. Repeatedly. Her reward was physical threats from colleagues. She was so scared she couldn't walk to her car alone after a shift. And when she turned to the Royal College of Nursing for support, their rep told her to keep her head down. Keep. Her. Head. Down. While patients were dying around her. She didn't. She kept raising concerns from 2007 to 2013. She gave evidence to the Francis Public Inquiry. A former Tech Mahindra employee staged a silent protest on Thursday, July 23, outside her office in Hyderabad's Raidurgam, accusing her employer of alleged workplace harassment. Bhavana says she joined Tech Mahindra around five months ago. After completing training, she fell extremely sick. In June, she applied for a 13-day sick leave because of her deteriorating health. However, despite informing the company about her health condition, she claimed she was repeatedly pressured to resume work. "I received a warning letter in the most inappropriate language," she said. She rejoined the company but faced a humiliating experience from her supervisors who frequently questioned her movements, even when she wanted to use the washroom. "I have never experienced such treatment in any organisation," she said. The software engineer alleged she was eventually terminated from her job in "violation of labour laws." She has filed a police complaint accusing the company of workplace harassment and unlawful termination.
