People need to stop being Jackarses and understand that there are lots of people who need wheelchairs because, while they can walk or stand for a limited time, they can't for extended periods. Things like Multiple Sclerosis Stroke Traumatic Brain Injury Peripheral neuropathy Muscular dystrophy Myasthenia gravis Rheumatoid arthritis Severe osteoarthritis Spinal stenosis Osteogenesis imperfecta COPD Congestive heart failure Neuropathic gait Ehlers-Danlos syndrome Diabetic neuropathy Peripheral artery disease

I’m not sorry, but I’m not about to assume someone’s entire medical history from a single video. I know some people who can function normally most of the time- then things flare up. I hate to say it but a lot of things aren’t exactly obvious

She’s definitely disabled but it’s more of a mental disability than a physical one.

Exploiting kindness of strangers by misrepresentative themselves; standard liberal.

Y'all this discourse about ambulatory chair users is getting fucking old. Please look up the fedinition. Some people can't walk long distances. If I went to a park like this, Disney, mall, I would need a chair or scooter as well. Some of y'all are just fucking ugly people. Just because she looks like a liberal you're going to call her faking it? This is why I don't use my mobility aids and refuse to go places where I would need them. I don't need to get shamed from ignorant people like you.

You think FDR was faking it too because he could walk to the microphone?

Once again the lack of education regarding ambulatory wheelchair users rears its head.

I certainly hope none of your family has to go through what this girl has. Yes that's her, found her social media and she doesn't need to to be harassed (which is why I'm not going to share her social media). I'm MAGA and if you think harassing disabled people is cool, then you're wrong (and evil, tbh).

I have pain and look perfectly fine on the outside. I do use a mobility scooter if joint inflammation is bothering me for certain places like Costco. It keeps me from suffering later in the day. After a while you overcome the embarrassment of it. Occasionally, I’ll get the stink-eye or comments because I look healthy. It’s best not to judge.

As a nurse, you've got no idea how many disabilities can cause you to be able to stand up but not walk for a long period of times. Heart conditions, past bone or joint surgeries, fainting disabilities, fatigue issues, cancers therapies or medications with bad side effects etc.

Not all disabilities are visible. She might be able to drive and even walk for short periods of time, but perhaps walking through a farmer’s market is more than her body can handle. My MIL has osteoarthritis, she has a walker and we have a disability placard for her. She can walk fine for about 5 minutes, and then she needs to rest. She also has dementia and is slowly losing her ability to tell where her extremities are in space; this means that she often trips over her own feet, or on loose stones, cracks in the sidewalk, etc.

Laziness is one of the worst disabilities a person can have.

I’ll give the benefit of the doubt and say maybe she has problems with extended walking/standing, but acting like that little ramp was going to cause issues when she could just stand up, walk it, and then sit back down is funny.

I think the fact that people don't realize that your disability doesn't have to bound you to a wheel chair for you to use one is sad. It really speaks on the lack of education and empathy we have towards people with disabilities.

I just had the somewhat regrettable experience of going through whatever videos I could find on this individual’s TikTok of them in a wheelchair. They make a lot of wheelchair videos, but the only explanation I’ve heard for why they are in the wheelchair is “I’d be too tired”. Not sure if there’s a chronic condition that has led to the limiting lack of stamina. See @mychaoticcreations on TikTok

She could have Multiple Sclerosis. My wife has it and most days she is ok to walk but sometimes she needs her cane or even a scooter to get around at the store. I try and not assume what conditions people have except when it’s obvious they are being lazy. Like parking in the handicap without a placard and jump out of the car like they are doing a marathon. Pisses me off! That’s why I carry one of these in my pocket….

This person has debilitating health issues which make it impossible to walk for long periods of time. This is the case for many people and doing even 3 seconds of thinking would have made that obvious

Disabilities are a spectrum. Some people need 24 hour assistance while in a wheelchair, others, have days where they can use a cane & sometimes need the chair. Maybe she's faking it, maybe she isn't. But one 50 second clip isn't proof of anything.

Just because you can stand for a few minutes and get your wheelchair out of the car, that doesn't mean you have the physical ability to walk around all the day in the heat. Y'all are stupid af for not realizing this.

I had one bad year of sciatica and I used a cane for a short period of time to get around and the public around me mobilized to assisted me with opening my door, putting my groceries in the trunk, etc. It felt very good. If I was an asshole, I would pull out a wheelchair.

Wait. . .@HHSGov should look into this. If she is getting disability on the tax payer dime--she better be disabled and it does NOT look like she is having any disabling issues: She drove herself to the event. She unloaded her own wheelchair & danced. She was outgoing & Social--nothing keeping HER in. WTF?

I cannot judge that without knowing more. I have a 22 year old daughter that needs a rollator to get around if she’s going to be walking more than a few feet. She has EDS and severe scoliosis that she’s getting 12” of her spine fused for in Oct. Not to mention heart issues.

I dunno. No one would think I am now disabled looking at me. Some days I can ride my motorcycle and others I cannot even walk into the garage to look at it. In general I can not walk more than 20 feet with out my body shoet circuiting now. I do not have a handicapped parking permit yet as I am a stubborn old coot. I had a temporary one for medical reasons a long time ago. Someone yelled at me for parking. I had on sweats and they were going at me so hard I pulled my pants down (had biker short for the compression oninder them)and told the bitch to look at my freakin busted up frankenstiened stapled legs and STFU! My mom just rolled her eyes and told me the wreck didn’t do a thing for my temper. LOL newp! It didn’t. So I won’t judge. But I know there is fraud in the dissability system. I have seen it first hand. There are scammers getting it all while those who need it cant even get an appointment with a person.

Sounds like you don't understand what the word disabled means! That's so cool that now you've been informed of your error, surely you will show your ability to take in new information and you will alter your future rhetoric!

Hmm, what if she has a condition where her body starts hurting and feel very tired after a while if she is standing or walking? Like fibromyalgia.

My husband was disabled. He could stand for awhile or walk short distances but he always used a mobility scooter in supermarkets and when he needed to walk medium distances. Admittedly he didn't make videos about it but I'm saying you don't always know.
