Another Private Travel #BusFire incident Miraculous escape for 29 passengers, after a Private AC Sleeper bus, travelling from #Hyderabad to #Kandukur went up in #Flames, in #Chityala mandal of #Nalgonda district on Hyderabad - Vijayawada National highway, at around 1.20 am early today. The alert driver woke up the passengers, who jumped out of the vehicle just in time by breaking open the windows. Within minutes fire engulfed the entire bus. The bus was on its way from Hyderabad to Kandukur in Andhra Pradesh.

Case against BRS MLA Kotha Prabhakar Reddy in Durgam Cheruvu encroachment case Madhapur Police registered under BNS sections and the PDPP Act based on a complaint by HYDRAA. As per the complaint, “in the year 2014, HMDA issued an FTL primary notification in respect of Durgam Cheruvu. Despite this, two persons Kotha Prabhakar Reddy and Venkat Reddy have encroached upon about 5acres of Durgam Cheruvu by filling the lake area with soil and stones. They are illegally earning money by using the encroached land for STS private transport parking. The encroachment of Durgam Cheruvu has been continuing since 2014” HYDRA recently removed nearly 5 acres of illegal encroachments near Inorbit Mall, Madhapur, for vehicle parking of schools and IT companies allegedly earning up to ₹50 lakh a month.

They have lit up the Cable bridge using cheap flood lights instead of the synchronised LED lights. This is in stark difference to how the Cable Bridge was under the BRS govt. SCAMgress for a reason!

The water, the greenary - ain’t it beautiful ❤️ BUT This won’t be the same anymore. That beautiful expansive greenary is going to vanish soon. WHY? Because Telangana government that has an inherent hatred towards trees decided it will be a good real estate piece. (Remember 450 acres of Kancha Gachibowli forest, Urdu University and even KBR park..?) They want to sell two parcels of this lush green catchment area of Durgam Cheruvu lake- a 5.25 acre plot & 5.38 acre plot. The auction will happen on 21st August & 28th August. BUT WHY? Because…Money baby! Money! The base price per acre is fixed at Rs 175 crore which will come up to a minimum Rs 1860 crore for the government 🙏🏽. FUN FACT? The rocks here survived 250 crore years - older the Himalayas and the Dinosaurs. They are called the “Heritage Precincts”. After 250 crore years, the rocks are going to get crushed because who cares? Also the government had an expert committee that changed the map & definition! SUPER FUN FACT? These parcels of lands are in the lake catchment area, which means they shouldn’t be touched. It is in the lake buffer zone so no construction should happen. The same government brought in HYDRAA and demolished hundreds of homes of poor & middle class saying “lake protection”. Will they now come to demolish in this land once construction happens or is it okay because the government sold it? PS: If you are in Hyderabad, go spend an evening there at Durgam Cheruvu before it is full of construction dust and dead trees.

Everytime I travel, I look up how much that country makes from tourism yearly. International tourists bring 50M euros to Italy every year. It saddens me how much Nigeria leaves at the table because we can't figure out our shit. On my Taormina trip, this cable car cost me 6 euros. We were 12 in one cable car. 10 cable cars at once. Bi directional trips at once. A trip was 4 mins from the top of the mountain to the beach side. Every 4 mins, this station pulls in €1,400. Per hour, that's 21K easy. In a day's work, that's 500K - half a million. Every month, this singular station pulls in 15M euros. One tiny station in a remote city that's managed to magnet the world yearly. The world has left us behind. We just dey fool dey go.
