I think this confirms what I expected with the Browser Company for a while. Arc is a great product, but there isn't a good way to monetize it. Monetizing it would hurt what makes it unique, so they have to move on to something new before the investment money dries up.

As an avid arc user i dont get it. Why not make the existing arc more flexible with the option to enable certain features and build on what’s already working. I’m honestly concerned over the future of arc because I’ve never heard a solid vision outside of vague “we’re future of the internet” claims

Sorry, this is not it chief. All features and options should be available in ONE product. Update your onboarding so people can choose as simple or advanced, or a custom experience they want. Mix and match the features, turn things on and off--make it as easy as possible. This way you still stay true to your goals of being stable, secure, and performant.
