Their selection is a meaningful step toward the modernized, AI-enabled National Airspace System this country needs and a signal that the U.S. is serious about leading the next era of flight. We announced our partnership with ASI in April to help prepare the National Air Space for scaled electric air taxi operations with live operational exercises planned later this year. Yesterday, council unanimously approved my motion to improve and expand access to emergency day shelters and dedicated day shelter spaces for the winter of 2025–2026. What does this mean? It means that people experiencing homelessness will now have more places to go during the day to receive support and care. It means that more Edmontonians will enjoy safer communities. It means less pressure on workers in our libraries and public spaces. And it means that we’re building a stronger Edmonton, together, by supporting those who need it the most.
