You cannot lose consent that you never had.

No you're not. You're just postponing it until after the election. Tony Blair thought he had mastered faking sincerity. But we saw through him, and we see through you.

@peston @AnushkaAsthana Mr Sunak, you are simply a liar. You are changing agreed UK net zero policy in order to significantly boost the income of the Oil companies which support you. Why not be honest with the public ?

“We’ll never tell you what to do… but here’s what you’re going to do…”

You shouldn't be doing any of this AT ALL

Risk losing the consent of the British people? Can you please remind me when we gave you the consent to financially cripple us in the first place? I seem to have misplaced my notes on that.

Has it finally dawned on you that the vast majority of Conservative voters don't want their living standards decimated so you can reach Net Zero targets that no one voted for?

What you're really saying, @RishiSunak, is 'Forget climate change. Forget the UK economy. Forget all my promises & undertakings. Forget our children's future. All I'm interested in is preventing electoral wipeout for the Tories.'

Translation: there has been too much resistance to the Net Zero Scam. The date we introduce our control measures can be moved around because they have nothing to do with a climate emergency and everything to do with what we can get away with.

Have you read this from Ford?
