We're excited to announce that the team has selected a site with a high voltage, direct-access substation for the world’s first tokenized data center. This site, powered by 70 MVA transformers stepping down 138 kV transmission to distribution, will consume in under 10 hours the equivalent of all 1.5 million miles of OpenVPP vehicle trips to date. The potential to turn this new class of infrastructure into an Open Virtual Power Plant with dynamic demand response and instantaneous revenue grade settlement is a cornerstone of what we're building at OpenVPP. Energy abundance has always been the cornerstone of societal advancement. Access to energy is directly linked to GDP. Simply put: There are no wealthy countries that don’t also have abundant access to energy. Apparently, Canada is in China promoting a goal of net zero 🤦🏼 Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Tim Hodgson: "Let me be clear, we are here (in China) because we share a goal to getting to net zero..." China has over 1,100 and generating over half of the world's electricity. They will do anything to generate more electricity this is the race and not net zero.
