Debs was the worst, especially as the show went on and the kids got older. She was trying to trap Derick, it was her plan the entire time. Get pregnant and be with him. As a child on the show, she showed more intelligence and common sense than most of the Gallagher’s, but the writers decided to take her down the white trash, pain in the ass, scheming, poor teen path instead of showing how people do actually get out of the life they think they’re destined to live.

Spoiler is, she became a terrible mom dragging her child to questionable circumstances she did in fact try to get her sister to help take care of the baby and made her baby everyone else’s problem. And she got frustrated when people didn’t want to help her.

She was such an insufferable bitch.

Debbie was messed up because because she never got help as a kid. They had Ian committed because he was bipolar & gave Debs weird looks when she kidnapped a baby. She needed help & they knew it. No excuse to treat Fiona like trash though. Fiona did everything for them.

Raped him, got pregnant, kept it, harassed him, harassed his new family and prior, and had no sympathy after his death.

In my head, his death was a suicide so he wouldn't come home to Debbie. Ever.

From this point on Debbie became the WORST fucking character on this show, I liked her when she was a kid but after she had Frannie my god she was absolutely utterly insufferable, hated her character arc so much.

She was a constant pain in the ass. Her character drove me nuts. There were times I couldn’t watch the show when she was on. She made everything 25 times harder than what it had to be. She was a real pill.

Teenage girls never want to have an abortion. When I was a teenager, I swore I'd keep a baby if I ever got pregnant. Well, now, because of my health issues, I would have an abortion in a heartbeat. Teens are children. They do not make good moms.
