Did he talk about what he’s done for people on “not a huge salary” of £100k? Or are you leaving that bit out because it’s staggeringly out of touch?

Oh, how wonderful! 💸 The UK government is "making work pay" by cutting taxes for the wealthy and giving crumbs to the working poor. What a brilliant strategy to address income inequality! And let's not forget that £900 saved for the average earner will totally make up for the rising cost of living, soaring energy prices, and stagnant wages. It's not like people are struggling to make ends meet or anything. But at least someone on the National Living Wage will get an extra £1,800 a year. That's definitely enough to lift them out of poverty and provide a decent standard of living. Who needs a living wage when you can just throw a few extra pounds at low-income workers and call it a day?

Who's "we"?? Stop using civil service Twitter accounts to spout Tory propaganda! The tax burden will rise over the next 5 years based on the awful consequences of @Conservatives; policies (or is that HMT policies?). Tweet that. Fucking truth twisters. #GeneralElectionNow

No Jeremy! You're making pensioners pay for the NI cut. You have not cut taxes you've transferred the liability to many who can't afford it. Frozen personal tax allowances hits pensioners. We see you 👀

Another party political tweet from the civil service.

You’re not really. Employers are all talking and looking at ways to reduce head count as the cost to employ is at the highest of this generation. Automation, AI and using free lance (subbies) are all being explored and developed. Your policies are setting the next phase of redundancy and unemployment. Over the last 12 months in NI, the Department has received notice of over 2.5 times the number of redundancies compared to the previous 12 months. These things take time to manifest and work through on the economy and the Torries are hoping the wave doesn’t crash up before an election when their anti employment strategy shows its true colours. You might want to export refugeees but you can’t export our entire workforce and backbone of the economy.

How are you making pay different? Minimum wage increase is paid by the employer!
