I joined my fellow ActionSA supporters for a picket this afternoon with a simple demand: A working justice system for South Africa. Justice for you and I isn’t possible without a well functioning National Prosecuting Authority. We can’t have communities saying that they can’t report cases of rape because they’ve been failed by the justice system. It can't be that the justice system is meant to protect the most vulnerable, but the most vulnerable don't feel it. All of the failures we’ve seen so far can be reversed with a change of leadership at the NPA. ActionSA

Does anybody else think Julia Hartley-Brewer is going over the top here as she interviews Laila Cunningham? It was gotcha after gotcha, and Julia seemed to be loving sticking the boot in. She nearly forgot to add that Harborne is British, over emphasising the Thai bit. Only a small percentage of the public watch TalkTV because they are right-wing, we have GB News too, but when Julia goes this hard at Reform it makes you worry about how the rest of the population is being fed this story by the BBC, LBC, Sky and ITV etc. As a TalkTV fan I am getting a little fed up with this. I'm not okay with a broken system that lets p*dophiles walk with less than a day in jail. I'm not okay with r*pists being let out free. I'm not okay with powerful people being above the law. Every day my office gets calls from families who've lost hope: m*rder victims' families, s*xual assault survivors, people the system has failed. I'm working hard to give hope to the hopeless and a voice to the voiceless. That's why I'm running for Governor. South Carolina's justice system is broken, and I'm going to fix it. If standing up for victims means I get attacked by the media and the mainstream, sign me up. I'm here for it.
