@MelanieLatest Well said. When it’s called AD there is high support. It drops when people understand it is not palliative care. Drops further when they realise what it is

@MelanieLatest Melanie Phillips is right about the weasel language. I could mug someone and claim it was assisted wealth redistribution.

@MelanieLatest Unusually I agree with Melanie Phillips. Assisted suicide is indeed a euphemism for euthanasia & the voluntary bit is debatable given the lack of precision in determining capacity & the coercive & abusive potential the most vulnerable can be subjected to be made to feel a burden.

@MelanieLatest Well said Melanie. This bill sickens me. Revolts me.

@MelanieLatest As ever with the latest argument I see against assisted dying/suicide/whatever, I’m left with the same response. I don’t care what you personally think or feel about this issue. It should be my choice

@MelanieLatest More should be done regarding Hospices and the palliative care they provide. Assisted dying is just a way to save the NHS and the DWP money. This is a perverse form of gerrymandering by this Labour Government as most of the state approved killings will be pensioners.

@MelanieLatest The only thing you need to know - about this is Melanie doesn’t think a Genocide is taking place in Gaza, where 42,000 men women and children have been killed with state of the art weapons.

@MelanieLatest We're not talking about k!lling, we are taking about individual's choice/control relating to their OWN personal lives... #TimesRadio

@MelanieLatest #MelaniePhillips: “We’re not talking about dying, we’re talking about killing.” Host: "But that's enough about #Israel, @MelanieLatest, what about the #AssistedDyingBill?"
