--- ATC burnout is real and working past 55 is not a good idea --- at 52 I had 29 years as an Enroute Radar Controller, had never had a 'system error', was still running 45-second crossing vectors, and working over 30 aircraft at one time on my very last day. BUT, I knew it was time to let the younger people take over. -- A bonus after 25 years is good but keep the age limit. I had to carry too many older Controllers in my early career.
