We're testing a material that highlights the optimal path in OnlyUp Tower to see if it increases completion percentages. Currently 80% of attempts don't reach 1/10th of the distance up the tower 🤔

Maybe fade it in if they are running over expected times between check points? 🤩

Not a bad idea. If this test shows improvements we might consider that as a permanent approach

This is cool! Material Function added to the Materials you're using on the optimal path assets?

Follow the yellow “bricked” road! Very clever!

Really cool idea! Do you have something telling the players that the yellow color means its the best path to take? The playtester in me wouldn't have recognized this is what the highlight was for, I would have just thought the floor was yellow!

The hope is that simply differentiating might be enough to catch a players attention. With every part of the tower being white or red I can see how players might miss things

Is there a way to see the average age of ppl that play ur map? Or is that not a thing yet

Not yet- we can only see platform and region. I'm very curious about age especially in this map because the skill gap ranges from toddler to FNCS pro 😅

So you want to know more about Sentech Television Tower in Johannesburg?📻📺 The tower was previously known as the Albert Hertzog Tower (named after the late apartheid minister of posts and telegraphs). It became better well-known as the Brixton Tower. It was built to host TV and radio transmissions. It hosted FM radio transmissions up until 1970. It was one of the first towers in the world to combine 6 FM channels simultaneously into 1 common antenna. In 2001, the name changed from Albert Hertzog Tower to Sentech Tower because naming rights were sold to Sentech. Sentech was one of South Africa’s first wireless service providers. Excavations for the land that the tower was built on started in February 1961. They managed to finish building the tower to its full height of 237m in December of that same year. The steel mast at the very top of the tower only took 3 weeks to complete. The tower is made of concrete and 300 tonnes of reinforced high-tensile, mild steel bars. The tower was designed to withstand winds of up to 200km/h. Backup power to the tower is 1MW using two 500 kVa Volvo Generators. 📡 Height: 237m 📡 Constructed in: 1961 📡 Cost to build: R300 000 📡 Designed by: Ove, Arup and Partners 📡 Construction by: Christiani and Nielsen SA 📡 Heigth of steel mast at top of tower: 16.1m 📡 Concrete used for the foundation: 1340 tonnes 📡 Concrete used to build the tower: 5684 tonnes 📡 Location: Symons Road & Putney Road, Brixton, #Johannesburg, #SouthAfrica 📡 Dimensions of the tower’s foundation: 2m deep, 6m wide, external diameter at the base of 25m Up until 1982, there were viewing decks that were open to the public for viewings. The viewing decks have remained closed ever since. Today the tower provides TV and Radio broadcast signals to millions of people in Johannesburg. Got any memories connected to Sentech Tower? Please do share below.
