I spent a lot of time with the residents on this stretch of the Nolichucky River (River of Death in Cherokee). There were 10 deceased victims found on this short stretch alone. The residents pleaded with local officials for over a week to have the bodies removed, ultimately it was civilian teams from out of state who answered that call to remove the victims, including that of a 5 year old child. Their home was filled with thousands of flies, the horror and trauma these people experienced due to the incompetence of government is truly astounding and heartbreaking, as well as infuriating. There are currently debris piles where their rural mailbox is located that span 40ft in height, that are littered with dozens of flags where cadaver dogs made "hits". These piles remain untouched by operators or recovery crews due to the vast amount of similar piles there are in this region. The missing remain in these piles, please send cadaver dogs to Western North Carolina immediately. This region deserves closure... She breaks down crying when talking about the babies, children, and adults who didn’t survive Hurricane Helene. The media is not telling you this but the government is trying to silence us from saying that there are hundreds of missing people. It was 1600 but some have been found. What are these Women doing here in the middle of the night? In many cities and along major highways, there are areas that have long been associated with reports of suspicious activity. If women are truly being exploited through human trafficking, forced prostitution, or other criminal networks, then this is not just a law enforcement issue. This is the hardest work here in WNC: human remains recovery. The odors can be horrific, coming from the debris piles. And most of the time, it's not human. Notice that the cadaver dog, "Gunner," did not "alert" on this pile. He followed his handler's command to check it out but did not "Stop/Sit/Bark/Stay." Unfortunately, Adam Smith' K9 Ops Supervisor, Chris Daley, took the unfortunate action of opening the fridge that had been sitting atop that pile for four weeks. On another note ... There are many deliberate "disinformation operations" taking place here. Just this week, an "influencer" posted a video claiming that "between 12,000 and 15,000 people are missing in Swannanoa." (The town has a total population of only 5,500. 🙄) Most of these reports are probably clickbait, but some are meant to divert attention and resources from where they are most needed. I took this video yesterday in Swannanoa. It's only a quarter mile off of I-40, yet the dog teams are just now searching this area. Hundreds, if not thousands, of debris piles—former homes—are still not searched. So many in far more remote locales. These are volunteers. Where are the government assets? The MSM is diverting its attention away from WNC, trying to rescue Kamala's failing campaign. Please don't forget about what's still happening here in NC, TN, GA, and VA.

We visited the scene of the explosion which occurred at about 7.44 pm yesterday, 16 January 2024 in Bodija, Ibadan. This unfortunate incident resulted in death and injury to residents in the vicinity and also affected properties. We have already deployed first responders and all relevant agencies within Oyo State to carry out comprehensive search and rescue operations. These operations will continue throughout the night. Earth moving equipment, ambulances, emergency lights, and security were deployed to the scene of the incident. The wounded and injured are being treated and moved to public and private hospitals within Ibadan. Medical personnel are on standby at these hospitals to provide all needed assistance to the injured. We have visited UCH to see some of those injured during the incident. In total, we have 77 injured victims so far, most of whom were treated and discharged and 2 fatalities. May their souls rest in peace and may God give their loved ones the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. I have directed that the medical bills of all victims be covered by the government. We will also be providing temporary accommodation for those whose houses were affected and ensuring that they are supported to rebuild their lives. Preliminary investigations by the security agencies revealed that illegal miners occupying one of the houses in Bodija had stored explosive devices there which caused the blast. The investigations are ongoing. All those found culpable for this will be brought to book. I urge all residents to please call 615 for any emergencies they may be experiencing at this time and to remain calm and stay away from the immediate scene of the incident to allow rescue operations to be carried out without interference. We are grateful to the first responders, security personnel and all those who are at the scene to assist with the rescue operations as well as the medical personnel taking care of the injured. Please say a prayer for those who have been affected by this disaster as we continue with the rescue operations.
