While SD Mines dropped a 52-50 heartbreaker in a 4 OT shootout against Michigan Tech, Mines’ Redshirt Senior QB Jake Martinelli absolutely balled out! Martinelli completed 39 of 61 passes for 443 yards and 5 TDs and gained another 62 yards on the ground. While Martinelli threw 1 INT, I’ve watched it over and over, and quite simply, the officials got the call wrong. Mines’ Redshirt Junior WR Mason Galbreath was a major contributor to Martinelli’s tremendous game as he pulled in 10 catches for 160 yards and 1 TD. Mines’ Junior WR Colton Grover contributed another 40 receiving yards on 3 catches, 2 of which were for TDs. The defense was led by Senior LB Hunter Newsom, who recorded 7 tackles (5 Solo & 2 Ast), with 3 tackles for a loss. Despite the loss, SD Mines’ offense was impressive! The defense, for a second straight week played great in the 1st half as they held Michigan Tech to just 7 points going into halftime. With the consistence that will come from game time experience and repetition, this team is going to win a lot of games this Fall! Texas A&M HC Mike Elko - Building Defensive IQ for Winning Situational Football "It starts to me with you have to develop football 101 in your defense. You've got to take a step back & you've got to build some level of general football knowledge in your defensive unit. It's sometimes the things that can save you when you don't call the perfect defense/scheme. Down & Distance Understanding... 2nd & 7+ - We have won 1st down... The offense is now trying to get themselves back in favorable positions for 3rd down. Here the battle is for half the yardage. - Offensively you will see a lot of RPOs, Quick Game, Screen & Draw. This is not a down where you will see a lot of high risk types of offensive plays. - Defensively we play this down & distance like a 3rd down off 1/2 the yardage... (2nd & 8 is like 3rd & 4, 2nd & 14 is like 3rd & 7) 2nd & 4-6 - We have lost 1st down. Now we must make a play on 2nd down to try to re-create an advantage for 3rd down. Success on this down is similar to 1st & 10. We are looking to hold them to 3 or less. - This is a down where the offense usually sticks to their strengths. Again, they are looking for a low risk play that will keep the chains moving forward. - For us we call this D&D no different than 1st down. 2nd & 1-3 (Waste) - Thus for the offense is known as a waste down. This is a D&D where the offense is likely to take a deep shot because they are in a favorable position for 3rd down. - Offenses will try double moves & max protection shot plays a lot on this D&D - For us on defense, this is a big zone pressure down. Gives us a chance to create a negative play and regain the advantage on the sticks. Also closes the middle of the field to protect us on the shot plays.

For awhile I was able to scrape by, just "hooping" off of being good in the past, but it was finally starting to catch up to me I was losing a LOT of games So, after taking about 2 months off from playing the game each day, I've decided to lock back in Starting yesterday, for the next 30 days, you will see me play College Football 26 every single day, with the goal of finishing as a Top 100 player again You will see me build my own Offensive & Defensive Schemes, and overcome problems like needing to find Run Defense, beating Man Coverage, scoring in the Redzone Instead of only seeing the "Gameplay Highlights"... This series you'll see me spend 20 minutes in practice mode, on my hands and knees begging to find a a way to stop Wildcat and HB Duo We'll be posting every single day until the end of this Season of H2H Ranked. Deion Sanders is the face of College Football. There are better teams. There are better programs. But win, lose or draw, no one has captivated college football like Coach Prime, Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter and Colorado. Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter both made plays against Baylor when their team and Coach needed them the most. They made those plays in the biggest moments of the game because prime time players, make prime time plays in prime time moments. Deion Sanders is Prime Time and his influence rubs off on his entire program. A lot of people wondered why Colorado’s fans rushed the field after beating a 2-1 Baylor team. They rushed the field because they know what it was like before Coach Prime and his Louis luggage showed up. There were no season ticket sell outs since 1996. With Deion, season tickets are sold out for the second straight year. School applications are up 20% with a 50.5% increase in Black student applicants. Colorado made $113.2 million from its 2023 home games alone, which led to a 51% increase in revenue through media rights with Coach Prime at the helm. Before Coach Prime, no one searched for a Colorado game. Last year alone Colorado averaged 7.2 Million viewers per game, with 5 games ranked in the 25 most watched college Football games of the year. That trend continues this year as well. Coach Prime turned the worst Power 5 school in the country into one that PEOPLE CARE ABOUT. Win or lose. You watch. Cheering for or against. You watch. However, his biggest accomplishment isn’t making the Colorado Buffaloes relevant again. His biggest accomplishment is empowering the young men in his program to believe in themselves, trust God and rejuvenating an entire city in the face of massive push back against his style. Deion Sanders took 2 HBCU football players in Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter and helped coach them into 2 of the best players in the country who are both in the Heisman race. Took multiple HBCU football players and helped coach them into high level Power 5 starters who have NFL futures. You see the thing about Coach Deion Sanders is he is just as misunderstood as he was as a player. With him, you earn what you get and every single player in his program knows that. On a deeper level, watching him coach his son’s is inspirational. What Deion and Lebron have done for their families and their son’s should be celebrated. As fathers they weren’t just there, they were active. They didn’t just have the title of baby daddy, they are fathers. Black Fatherhood has long been mischaracterized as absent and negative. It’s amazing to see Black Fatherhood today on the highest levels be characterized as present and supportive.

We haven't discussed this much because it's quite detailed. Where are we with the animation series development? It's a complex answer because our IP spans multiple mediums. Here's a simplified breakdown: - Learning from Anime: Like popular series such as "Fullmetal Alchemist," "Naruto," and "One Piece," where manga serves as the storyboard for anime, we've taken a similar approach but with a twist. - Starting with the end in mind: We began by creating 3-D assets in Unreal Engine 5 for our Webtoons and print manga. This choice allows us to use the same high-quality assets for cinematic TV, movies, and games, reducing costs and enhancing consistency. - Asset Reuse: By developing assets once for high-quality output, we can use them across comics, games, and animations. This method, similar to what was done in "Arcane," involves hand-painting over 3-D models for a unique look. - Cost and Efficiency: This approach isn't common due to its difficulty and the need for story consistency. However, it allows for smarter production, echoing the methods of visionaries like Disney and Hanna-Barbera, ensuring we can sustain and grow our IP like Pokémon. Current Status: - Pre-production: We're well into preproduction, with story development, storyboards, color scripts, and asset creation nearly complete. This groundwork usually takes years but we're ahead. This is because what I listed above are the mangas. Each manga counts as two episodes. And because each of those are fully developed, we have all the information we need to develop an episode. - Production Timeline: We're set to move into full production in 2025. Post our animation lock-up system with the community we am to go into full production after that in January. - Quality and Speed: An example of our efficiency is the cinematic for December 18th, where we reused game assets for backgrounds, finishing 43 scenes in just a month, which is exceptionally fast. I hate to go here… I truly do. Kelvin Banks Jr. has played Left Tackle at Texas under Sark since his freshman year! 3 full seasons of this man being an All- American. Last year, he was voted best lineman in football! If Kelvin Banks was white, yall wouldn’t dissect him based on one game vs Georgia. Do yall do Will Campbell like that? After he got merked by Jared Verse? He had chip block help by Guard,RB, and TE the whole game and still got worked.. Yall either.. 1. Clueless about this happening 2. Forgot about it 3. aware of it but chalked it up as “one” bad game Point is, whenever this fan base detects a mature, strong, and alpha type of leader in a black man, they get real uncomfortable and try to dissect them. A number of you have asked about the call at the end of the 1st Half of the Bethel Football game at NCC Football in which there was a potential fumble/TD wiped off the board for Bethel that eventually led to no score by the Royals. The full play and a breakdown of issues with the call are in the video below. To be clear, though: 1) It appears that the receiver did not possess the ball at or past the NCC 8, which was needed for the 1st Down (the officials gave the ball to Bethel at the 8 after the overturn, awarding a 1st down). 2) It seems like the wing official was marking forward progress but may not have blown his whistle. It is unclear how he affected the overturn decision in the first place. What is clear is that the officials on the field awarded a fumble and TD, meaning they did not rule forward progress had been stopped. As a result, this aspect of the play is NOT reviewable by rule, as it is a judgment call in real time. 3) No TD should have been awarded before the review in the first place, as the ball clearly was fumbled to the lineman, and fumbles on 4th down in college football can only be advanced by the fumbling player. The ball would have been marked at the spot of the fumble in that case. 4) The officials missed a clear Roughing the Passer call, as the NCC defender went for the Bethel QB's legs while he was in his passing stance. This would have been a half-the-distance and automatic-first-down foul. If this play was called correctly in the first place, it should have been called dead with forward progress stopped at the 8 1/2 yard line and the Roughing foul pushing the ball to the 4 1/4 yard line, 1st & Goal Bethel, with the clock stopped due to penalty. No matter what, though, the Roughing penalty would have ensured Bethel had the ball closer to the goal with 16 seconds left (when forward progress stoppage should have been called). As a former NFL Scout, I find it VERY interesting that Shedeur Sanders “dirted” his final play of his Pro Day in the 2-Minute Drill instead of making the high pressure throw to the end-zone and risking missing it as his lasting impression. This is also why he took some of his sacks (and yardage losses for his team) instead of throwing the ball away at Colorado the past two seasons. I’ve never seen a quarterback more afraid of making a mistake. The fear of making a mistake is engrained in him (likely from an early age). It’s spray painted all over his game film and poetically, it’s exactly how his Pro Day ended with him bowing out instead of stepping into the moment. The fact he “shied away” from taking the shot in front of the league at the end is VERY telling to me. It’s the take away. Three other impressions of mine from his Pro Day: 1. Average overall looking “arm strength.” There was a “wobble” on a number of his throws and he put too much air under his deep passes. He could not drive the ball much at his indoor Pro Day at 5,430 feet altitude (Boulder Colorado). He “flashed” having “decent” arm strength on a few of his underneath throws but he clearly lacks “arm confidence” and the confidence in himself to drive the ball. 2. Average location placement overall. 3. Pats the ball pre-delivery which telegraphs to defensive backs when and where he’s throwing. There was nothing and I mean nothing special, elite or dominant looking at his Pro Day that was set up in absolute ideal conditions for him. He mostly made short throws and put too much air under his deep throws. I have an undraftable free agent grade on him. He’s a practice squad level talent with a Hall of Fame last name. My dream is to get a second chance in the NFL and on my resume, I am advising teams not to select him in rounds 1-7 in the 2025 NFL Draft. Video credit: NFL

Looking to level up your backyard without a massive construction crew? This cinder block and timber setup is basically "Grown-Up Legos" for your deck. Here is how it goes down: ​Step 1: The Foundation. Clear the area and level the ground. If you skip this, your stairs will eventually look like a game of Jenga gone wrong. ​Step 2: The Stacking. Stagger your cinder blocks to create the rise and run. The "ears" of the blocks face inward to act as your shelf for the wood. ​Step 3: The Glow Up. Slap on a few coats of exterior black paint. The coaches have positively influenced games with substitutions, and today, on top of that, we need a strong start, willingness to control, and dominate the match to create better scoring opportunities. ■ Tactical Adjustments Our consistency has been an issue; we often change midfield pairings, like the one of Ndlovu and Maboe, too frequently. In the Betway Premiership, they’ve shown better composure and chemistry. Apart from those 2 moments in the 1st 2 minutes, we failed to test the goalkeeper for the rest of the match. Sometimes I like to look at a player’s “worst game of the year” to see how bad it was (or wasn’t). For WR Caleb Douglas (according to PFF) that was the Arizona State game where he matched up with Keith Abney (R5) all day. This was a good battle between Douglas and Abney. But considering it was supposed to be Douglas’s worst outing, it wasn’t all that bad. Texas Tech lost, despite coming back from a 12 point deficit in the final 6 or 7 minutes to take a 3 point lead, after a successful 2-point conversion made possible by Douglas drawing a hold in the end zone on the first 2-point attempt. Sam Leavitt and Jordyn Tyson worked their magic to go all the way down the field in the final minute and not just kick a tying FG, but actually score the go-ahead TD, leaving Texas Tech attempting a Hail Mary as the clock ran out. Things I noticed during the game: - The backup QB Will Hammond playing in place of Behren Morton had some issues with timing and ball placement. A couple of targets Douglas was open, Hammond missed him. Another one, instead of throwing the vertical Hammond patted the ball an extra beat and it threw off the timing. - I loved Caleb Douglas’s willingness to try and make a difference as a blocker. He got nasty with it. - Caleb had a bad drop. Abney got in there and contacted him and Douglas failed to put the ball away. But it’s interesting because Caleb also had one of the most impressive one-handed stabs you’ll see, on a play nobody noticed or cared about because it was a screen that didn’t break open. - On a lot of plays, if there wasn’t safety help, there was an egregious amount of cushion. This is something you see in a lot of Tech’s games. People had been trying, and frankly failing, to triangulate Douglas’s long speed, to where his 4.39 came as a surprise to some. And then when they’re wrong, the same tired excuse comes out, “He doesn’t play to his timed speed.” But the signs were always there. You had safeties stashed way out in the middle of nowhere to protect corners. You had corners giving 10-12 yards of cushion. - There was a lull where either the ball wasn’t coming Douglas’s way or it was inaccurate when it did, and it lasted nearly half the game. So I was looking for signs of Douglas checking out with his route running. That didn’t happen. He ran his routes hard the entire game. - Douglas dialed it up a notch during the comeback attempt at the end, particularly after the drop. He got wide open on a 3rd down vertical vs. physical coverage with no safety help over top (surviving an unflagged face mask in the process). Then he got open in the end zone twice, one of which forced a hold by Abney that did get flagged. I think the takeaway from me was, you’re playing against a good corner, you have a backup QB in, things don’t go well for you nor the offense for most of the game, but you stay locked in and make a difference at the end, mounting an unlikely comeback. I can see why Jon-Eric Sullivan would like his demeanor.

Sometimes I like to look at a player’s “worst game of the year” to see how bad it was (or wasn’t). For WR Caleb Douglas (according to PFF) that was the Arizona State game where he matched up with Keith Abney (R5) all day. This was a good battle between Douglas and Abney. But considering it was supposed to be Douglas’s worst outing, it wasn’t all that bad. Texas Tech lost, despite coming back from a 12 point deficit in the final 6 or 7 minutes to take a 3 point lead, after a successful 2-point conversion made possible by Douglas drawing a hold in the end zone on the first 2-point attempt. Sam Leavitt and Jordyn Tyson worked their magic to go all the way down the field in the final minute and not just kick a tying FG, but actually score the go-ahead TD, leaving Texas Tech attempting a Hail Mary as the clock ran out. Things I noticed during the game: - The backup QB Will Hammond playing in place of Behren Morton had some issues with timing and ball placement. A couple of targets Douglas was open, Hammond missed him. Another one, instead of throwing the vertical Hammond patted the ball an extra beat and it threw off the timing. - I loved Caleb Douglas’s willingness to try and make a difference as a blocker. He got nasty with it. - Caleb had a bad drop. Abney got in there and contacted him and Douglas failed to put the ball away. But it’s interesting because Caleb also had one of the most impressive one-handed stabs you’ll see, on a play nobody noticed or cared about because it was a screen that didn’t break open. - On a lot of plays, if there wasn’t safety help, there was an egregious amount of cushion. This is something you see in a lot of Tech’s games. People had been trying, and frankly failing, to triangulate Douglas’s long speed, to where his 4.39 came as a surprise to some. And then when they’re wrong, the same tired excuse comes out, “He doesn’t play to his timed speed.” But the signs were always there. You had safeties stashed way out in the middle of nowhere to protect corners. You had corners giving 10-12 yards of cushion. - There was a lull where either the ball wasn’t coming Douglas’s way or it was inaccurate when it did, and it lasted nearly half the game. So I was looking for signs of Douglas checking out with his route running. That didn’t happen. He ran his routes hard the entire game. - Douglas dialed it up a notch during the comeback attempt at the end, particularly after the drop. He got wide open on a 3rd down vertical vs. physical coverage with no safety help over top (surviving an unflagged face mask in the process). Then he got open in the end zone twice, one of which forced a hold by Abney that did get flagged.
