Tucker Carlson’s guest tonight is Nalin Haley, the son of Nikki Haley. Another sign of how much things have changed in the past two years. Tucker has called Nikki Haley a “threat” and assailed her for her positions on social media control, but mainly for her position on Israel as one of the strongest pro-Israel figures in the Republican Party. Nalin has already made clear he strongly disagrees with his mom on Israel. lando reflecting on his season: “different parts of the season have been good and bad. the most important part of the season, the last two months, have probably been some of my best laps in quali, best races, when i needed it the most, which is a good thing. but there was certainly my fair share of mistakes and just not getting my head around this year's car, which is clearly a huge step better than last year's. but it didn't come without its difficulties. there's still been times, i wouldn't say plenty, when i wish, in montreal that kind of thing, when i could have made a different decision. but i think on the whole, between us two as drivers, we pushed each other a lot. we've done a very good job as a team. we still have areas to improve. but otherwise, it's certainly been my best season, especially the last couple of months, but still two to go”

The end of the Japanese Rocket Fighter July 7 1945 - a prototype Mitsubishi J8M1 crashes in Nagoya (Japan). Pilot Lt. Cdr. Toyohiko Inuzuka dies. J8M1 was a derivative of the German Me163 rocket fighter, on its 1st powered flight after trials as a glider. The engine failed, plane hit a building attempting an emergency landing. After this accident, none of the remaining J8M1s flew before the Japanese capitulation in August. One of only two surviving J8M´s made its way to the US and is on display at the Planes of Fame museum. Video was produced by Youtube user “Geschichte aus Metall”, it is an extract from “Sie flogen nie – Japans geheimste Kriegsflugzeuge” on Youtube, which shows this and other Japanese fighter prototypes from WW2 – go there and drop them a like and subscribe.

Last time I saw Bob Weir was in Boulder on 4th of July weekend in 2023. Dave Matthews sat in for a Watchtower > Knocking On Heavens Door > The Weight encore. The last video I have in my phone of Bobby is him telling the crowd to “put your load right on me.” How many times did we do that in one way or another? Sitting here now, it feels like a perfect ending for my journey with the music… So many days driving high mountain roads with the background sounds of some Bobby project making the colors even brighter. So many times when I found comfort in the music while dealing with grief and loss. Plenty of days where I felt lost and a lyric landed a little differently and set me down a good thought pattern… None of us get forever, but Bobby’s life will echo on in the songs we play for ourselves and our children for years to come. Sad for the loss tonight, but mostly just grateful for the massive gift Bobby shared with the world and the fact that he spent so much of his final years putting on live shows that introduced a whole other generation to it Fare thee well, Bobby

Adam Scott is making his 100th consecutive major championship start this week. He'll join Jack Nicklaus as the only men to achieve that milestone. "It's a strange one because it's not something you really set out to do or aim for. But in all honesty, since Pinehurst a couple years ago, it kind of was on my radar. Earlier this year, as I wasn't automatically qualified for this event, it became a bit of a weight on my shoulders making sure I got here. "It's been fun. I had a photograph with Jack Nicklaus a couple of weeks ago at his Memorial Tournament, and he's the other guy who made it to a hundred in a row. He, in fact, made it way past that, and I can't even think about playing another 11 or 12 years straight of these, but I'm really excited for this week."

I can't believe I'm sharing this, but here is 13 year old Tom, vlogging on his youtube channel from his bedroom. This a video from a channel long since shut down, from the year of our lord 2010. None of it is my proudest work - but I got better as I got older. I learned skills and made friends, some of whom I still know to this day. Making these silly videos over time taught me so much about video editing, talking to cameras, and being effective on social media. I failed a lot before I got better. But I had the chance to try. I developed skills that have helped me enormously in adult life. Had I not been able to make silly videos on youtube - and get motivated/excited about thousands of people watching them - my subsequent life would have certainly looked very different. Some might argue that would have been for the better, but it would have certainly been for the more boring.

Following my post about Dojo's TTPoE communications protocol that replaces TCP, I want to learn about the Etherloop protocol that Tesla uses in the Cybertruck. Turns out it's the 2nd protocol that Tesla invented, and it also rides on top of Ethernet, but not the same Ethernet that we're all used to. And while researching this I came across a bunch of other related information. It's too complex to put in X posts, so I made and narrated a 24 minute Powerpoint (sorry!) presentation about it all. A 13 year old British schoolgirl was punched in the face by a 'Spanish yob' during a fight that broke out over her allegedly sitting on someone's sun lounger. Shocking video footage shows a girl in a green bikini knocked over on to a chair and repeatedly hit by a man as dozens of terrified tourists screamed at the family hotel in Santa Susanna, Spain. Several British holidaymakers were said to have jumped in to help the girl as a man in orange swim trunks was seen being forcibly held back and it was claimed even hotel staff were 'too scared' to break up the chaos. The fight is said to have unfolded after the teenager sat on a sun lounger but was unaware it was already being used. She was rushed to hospital with blood all over her face and a broken nose while others were left with cuts, black eyes and grazes, according to The Sun. The thug's friends reportedly also got involved in the physical row by hitting the young girl as locals claimed the group were 'Spanish gypsies'. At least six police and an ambulance were called to the scene and the British family were moved to another resort after the teenager was treated. Last night I had a heavy heart and couldn’t bring myself to utter a word of prayer. I just sat still on the bare floor meditating on Scriptures for an entire hour. As I stood up to go to bed, The Spirit laid it in my heart to search for “Reckless Love - Apostle Grace Lubega” on YouTube (The original song is by Cory Asbury, but I always prefer Apostle Lubega’s worship sessions). As I searched, the first video that popped up was this video by Apostle Joshua Selman instead. I’m not so much of an emotional person, but I bawled my eyes out last night as I listened to this brief ministration. It was speaking directly to me. All the while, God placed this burden in my heart, for this single moment. It reminded me of what Apostle Iren was saying about prayers at Reboot Camp last week Friday, that even when you don’t feel like it, that’s when you need it the most, stay there. Just stay. Even when you don’t have the words, just stay. It is in this unconditional pursuit of God that intimacy is birthed. To the Holy Spirit, its a proof of commitment, yieldedness and readiness.

Probably my favorite (and craziest) project I did of all time, was starring in the Pulp Fiction-esque grindhouse film "Brides of Satan." As much flack as I got from people for being in a "satanic" movie....I'm actually the vigilante superhero in it, going off on a revenge killing spree after the evil cult that murdered my fiancé. It's rated R for partial nudity, so it's not exactly family friendly (not because of me though). But it also contains one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard on a low budget film....including my favorite, an operatic tune of the "saddest song ever sung" that I included in a clip of below. We filmed it in pieces over years....but in chronological order, which is unusual for movie filming. We used practical gore effects instead of CGI which gives it that throwback feel....and so much dystopian weirdness that it makes the film feel like an 80's cult classic. There's a Vincent Price-like opening monologue, a sexy ol' timey burlesque scene, a Karate Kid workout montage, and features the weirdest, most stylized humor that director Joe Bizarro a character within himself, pulled off perfectly. It originally premiered on VHS tape for "funzies" as a limited edition. It's also streaming for free on Tubi, and for a nominal fee on Amazon and YouTube.
