It was our honor to serve a role in our nation's inaugural ceremonies to celebrate the peaceful transition of power between administrations. Capital One Arena sits between the White House and Capitol Hill and is embedded in the fabric of Washington, D.C. Our arena is more than a sports and entertainment venue; it has served as a gathering place for some of our nation’s most important moments and embodies the spirit of community. We are grateful for the efforts of hundreds of Monumental Sports & Entertainment staff, as well as to D.C. and federal law enforcement, the US Secret Service and everyone who ensured the event was safe and enjoyed by thousands.

Our focus today has been on assessing damage from the storm and restoring power to critical infrastructure—like hospitals—and main electrical feeders, like in #Yarmouth as seen here today. We do our best to give an estimate of when the power will be restored. Once our crews are able to assess damage to infrastructure, those estimates will be updated. Today, we welcomed home more than 60 Maine veterans in Bangor as they returned from a trip to Washington, D.C., organized by Honor Flight Maine. These veterans visited the memorials built in our nation’s capital to pay tribute to their service. It was deeply moving to join their families and friends in showing them the gratitude and respect they have earned, and to remind them that their sacrifices will never be forgotten.
