FREDERIKSEN: One of the things where I have disagreed with some of my colleagues is all the red lines that have been put on Ukraine, because I don't think you can win a war with red lines. You remember in the beginning, we were willing to give away some of our F-16s. We were not allowed to do that because some allies said, "Well, we cannot put our fighter jets in Ukraine." Then we had questions about long-range weapons. That was also red line. There have been so many red lines. It's almost like we have asked you to defend Europe with one arm behind your back. That has not been fair. And one of the ways to get around some of these red lines is producing directly in Ukraine, because now you can produce some of the weapons that some allies have been refusing to give you.

I implore everybody to watch this. It has got to be the most insane and disturbing thing I’ve ever seen. I don’t even know how young people today could have become so gut wrenchingly stupid. I’m speechless. Elon Musk keeps going on about population decline, and this young imbecile shows exactly why we’re even in this position where our species is at risk. I don’t ever remember hearing an argument with so little logic and awareness. Our education system is failing not just the young generation, but all of humanity. This is simply nuts. It’s a level of psychosis that is actually quite evil in nature. I wonder what someone like Gad Saad thinks about this?

He was a version of ourselves that we rejected. The part that we want to hide. The shame we carried, but I think the creature can be a lot of things. He is whatever piece of you the world has told you to be ashamed of. He can be whatever you’ve been running from because you couldn’t bear to look at it. For some people, that might be internalized fear. The part of yourself you were taught to hate; before you even understood what it was. For some it’s trauma you’ve never spoken out loud. For some it can be body dysmorphia. The way you can’t look in a mirror without flinching. For some it’s shame about your family. About your past mistakes. Your desires. Your difference. Whatever it is, we all have a creature. We all have a part of ourselves we’ve kept locked outside the door because we’re afraid of what it would mean to let it in. What I want to say with this album, with this song is you don’t have to keep running. You can turn around. You can open the door, and when you do, whether it’s that’s with a friend, with someone you love, or even just by yourself, in the mirror, the thing you’ve always been afraid of, it’s a part of you. That has been waiting this whole time to be met. We hope this song finds the people that need it. We hope it reaches whoever is sitting outside their own door scared to go in.
