We've been working on adding widgets to Iris — mini apps that appear within the chat thread. Today we're launching the first one, the "proofread widget."

Usually, ChatGPT just spits out a wall of text when you ask it to check your grammar or spelling. The proofread widget shows you all of Iris's suggestions inline, and you can reject any of them if you don't like them!

We created this widget first because it's "simple." Turns out, it was actually quite a difficult engineering/design challenge. Shoutout to @jensrst and @puravmanot for bringing this feature across the finish line!! More fun stuff coming :)

Very good product, beautiful and convenient, perfect! Unfortunately, there is no free haiku model in the latest version. I don‘t know if it can be added?

Hey! We’ve included gpt4o-mini in the latest version instead of Claude haiku. We found gpt4o-mini performed better in our tests — do you have a use case where you prefer haiku?

it'd be nice if Iris knew more about itself

This is on the queue! What did you ask it about?
