I joined Coinbase 🛡️ 9 weeks ago with a vital goal: fixing unnecessary account restrictions. If you're on CT, you know how significant this issue has been for users. I myself am a Coinbase user and our restriction experience is not meeting my own bar. The goal is clear: Account freezes should be rare, limited to situations that warrant them, primarily when we're legally obligated (e.g. sanctions or court orders) or protecting users (e.g. from scams or account compromises). We're committed to getting this right. Recent releases have enabled us to make huge improvements without sacrificing our legal and regulatory obligations, or our commitment to safety. In short: - We've reduced the frequency of account locks by ~82% so far, and new changes are currently rolling out that will bring further reductions. - We've made significant investments in our ML models, infrastructure, modeling, and teams. So far, we've improved the precision and recall of all our models, and are seeing fewer restrictions/freezes as a result. - We've established guardrails and checks/balances to ensure we maintain focus on this and won't stop iterating. - We're also tackling this problem from the other end by moving processes like source-of-funds verification and enhanced KYC into the app. This means most restriction types will have self-service flows to remove restrictions, which is much more efficient than previous options. I don’t eat at Steak ‘n Shake very often (their transparency and ownership have always been a little weird to me), but a new controversy I just read about is pretty silly. During remodels, they may add a QR code scanner for soft drink refills. Basically, you scan proof of purchase so people can’t just order water and then help themselves to unlimited soda. Some folks are now boycotting because they have to scan their receipt each time. I think it’s a smart move that helps keep people honest. The entitlement is wild, people are genuinely mad about scanning a code for a free refill? Go to almost any other country where free refills barely exist (if at all) and they’d be begging for this system. 😂🥤

No larger venue. 4 - Our chapter president has been doxxed with his number and address published on social media. The campus police and school administrator shrugged their shoulders. 5 - The administration has said they cannot step in or ask protesters to leave if they attempt to disrupt the event or shout down Kyle. 6 - The school has allowed into the event the student that doxxed our chapter president, knowing this person was responsible for the doxxing. 7 - The protestors have entered the event and are taping the names of the people involved in Kyle Rittenhouse’s legal defense. Hi FGC friends. I picked up a Brooks Wingman FGC 2 myself from to test some older sticks on PS5 cause of issues using them on PS5 for some games. Did a quick Firmware update through their website here: (Hold the side buttons while plugged into PC and grab the latest update) I then tested all of these myself that didn't work in game for Avatar before that are now working instantly. Hopefully a patch comes out before the event for legacy controllers but I wanted to test this as a backup option while I chat with Brook Converters directly about getting some loaners for pools at the event. So far no issues, timeouts or anything so this may be your a good option for the mean time to use all of your sticks/controllers on PS5 in general. If you're having issues please let me know what controller/stick you're trying to use and I'll see if I have it to try myself. Yes I'm one the greatest TOs of all time that goes through all the details when needed.
