Being named the Best Local Government Chairman in Nigeria is not just a win for me, it’s a win for the vision we’ve carried, the work we’ve put in, and the belief that true development begins at the grassroots. It was one year ago today that the The White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research was signed and established by President Donald J. Trump. This initiative galvanized the federal government, the private sector, and philanthropy to improve women’s health. It has been an honor to work alongside First Lady Melania Trump this past year and see the amazing work that has been accomplished in such a short period of time. This research that has the power to save lives, and these answers have the potential to help get a better understanding for so many conditions such as Alzheimer’s, heart disease, menopause, depression, osteoporosis, lung cancer, and more. Women have long been overlooked in research, and I hope our work continues. #womenshealthmatters

Scaling 3D scene data is a long-standing challenge in scene understanding, spatial reasoning, and robotics. Since scanning, reconstruction, and labeling are so labor-intensive, data scarcity has remained a major bottleneck. 🛑 To solve this, we propose SceneVerse++: Lifting Unlabeled Internet-level Data for 3D Scene Understanding (CVPR 2026). By reconstructing internet videos and annotating 3D scenes automatically, we’ve created a massive real-world dataset for end-to-end understanding. 🌐📐 SceneVerse++ makes it easy to scale "in-the-wild" 3D scenes toward more capable spatial reasoning systems. I thought this was the most important moment from Elon's interview with Dwarkesh and John Collison Elon is saying the quiet part out loud here. The reality is that without securing a win in the race for AI and robotics, America will fall behind our peers in the future world order Worth a listen "We definitely can't win with just humans because China has 4 times our population. And frankly, America has been winning for so long that we, just like a pro sports team that has been winning for a long time, tend to get complacent and entitled. And that is why they stop winning because they just dont work as hard anymore My observation is that the average work ethic in China is higher than in the U.S. So it's not just that there is 4x the population, the amount of work they put in is higher. We cant win on the human front, and our birth rate has been low for a very long time. U.S. birth rate has been below replacement since roughly 1971. We have more people domestically dying than being born. We definitely cant win on the human front, but we might have a shot at the robot front"

BREAKING: Trump is backtracking in part on his auto tariffs. This was predictable. It couldn't work. Trump is doing what they call "destacking" the Auto Tariffs. Car manufacturers will pick the highest tariff and only get charged for that one. They would mostly face the 25% auto tariff but not the steel and aluminum tariffs or the fentanyl tariffs. A tariff credit / offset will also be provided to car manufacturers in the U.S. This will be a 3.75% credit in the first year and then a 2.5% credit in the second year, before being phased out.

My last PhD project at CMU will be presented today and tomorrow at Conference on Robot Learning as one of the Demos: SIAT (SIAT: Stretch control with Immersive AR Teleoperation) Find Vidhi Jain, Su Li and Yonatan Bisk who will be presenting this work in person. The original goal of me doing this project is to collect realistic human-robot interaction demonstration data just like the way you interact with your friends. But you can also use this package for non-social task data collection as well.

From groundbreaking to grand opening in just ten months! This is the 11th shelter community we’ve opened this year — and once this site is at full capacity, we’ll have moved over 1,000 people off the streets in just 12 months. This approach is the reason why we’ve seen unsheltered homelessness go down year over year — in fact, for the first time in city history, we’re nearing a 50% sheltered rate, meaning that half of our homeless population has a bed to sleep in each night and access to the services that will help them get back to self-sufficiency. Thanks to our Vice Mayor Pam Foley and the community in D9 for welcoming these new neighbors so warmly. Another huge thank you goes to to the philanthropic donors that made this project possible, our state partners Governor Gavin Newsom and Caltrans District 4, as well as DignityMoves and valleywater, who generously donated the land.
