I feel like smud was under prepared for the impending storms. As we were told to prepare because it was known they were coming @smud should have been prepared as well. Families are loosing food, paying customers are cold and suffering. Medical needs are not being met.

@SMUD I understand this is frustrating, but our crews maintain and inspect equipment every day. The winds that approached 70 mph caused extensive damage. We are doing everything we can to restore power. Stay safe.

SMUD was prepared, but I don’t believe anyone was prepared for the extent of the damage done by the storm. I haven’t seen this amount of damage in Sacramento County in my lifetime. I have lived here 50+ years. Keep up the good work SMUD!!

We're so sorry this is happening! Some outages can take more time because of the severity caused to the equipment. Please know we have crews working around the clock to restore service. Please continue to check for restoration times.

Appreciate the hard work. Just wish the website would actually try and estimate when I will get power again instead of saying unknown for 36+ hrs.
