I would have a fit if I was told the problem on my car costs less than $10 but the dealer won’t sell it to me h less I buy the part it’s attached to for about $1000. It’s getting more and more expensive to service your own car, there are more rules you have to obey by. I think it could be marketing strategy to sell more of their in house service plans. When I bought a car last year they said that the maintenance can get expensive and they showed me an example of one. Then after they shocked me with the price they said there was a better alternative and offered their service plan which was the price of the one service they used as an example. I know people who went out and bought used luxury cars because they depreciated so much. But that smile went away when they were presented with an outrageous 4 figure bill for an oil change. I know many of us want to drive amazing cars, my advice to you is to do your research on the total cost of ownership not just the monthly payment and insurance.

This woman’s neighbors always leaves their trash and empty boxes in front of her door. They have never said why they do that nor have they ever responded to her requests to stop doing it. This has been going on since she’s moved in and it’s been months now. After being fed up with what’s going on, she’s decided that she’s going to do the same thing right back to the and started leaving her trash by their door as well. I know childhood and college friends, as well as family, who work at Google, NVIDIA, Tesla, TSMC, Meta, Apple, etc. Every few years, when the stars align, we all manage to have a BBQ together during the holidays. They all say they can count on one hand the number of Black engineers they've ever known throughout their careers. In the last five years, 50% of the Black individuals who entered their field have had to communicate through email because they want every conversation documented, as those individuals were known to make racist allegations against people. Those individuals have been systematically fired over the last year.
