This year, we can add more countries to our list of reliable partners, particularly Syria. We are preparing to restore diplomatic relations and cooperation in international organizations. I thank our intelligence for laying the security groundwork for these contacts. As a result of the visit, we also intend to increase trade with Lebanon. Currently, our agricultural exports to this country amount to $400 million, and we aim to double this figure at the very least. In 2025, we plan to increase our outreach to Africa as well, as every new partnership opens greater opportunities for our diplomacy and economy. In 2024, we managed to increase Ukrainian exports by 15%, adding over $5 billion compared to 2023, with total exports exceeding $41 billion for the year. Achieving this during a full-scale war is no small feat. For 2025, our goal is to continue this growth. I thank all of our officials, diplomats, and Ukrainian companies, who are securing our ties with the world. I thank every soldier and unit that provides security for our export routes, especially in the Black Sea.

Our first meeting with Prime Minister Keir Starmer in the format of a strategic dialogue. Today, we signed the Ukraine-UK Enhanced Security and Defence Industrial Collaboration Declaration. This is an important step to strengthen our defence. I informed the Prime Minister about the situation on the frontline, Russian attacks, and our needs to protect lives. We discussed the development of joint defence production and strengthening Ukraine’s air defence with additional missiles for air defence systems. As always, a good and productive meeting with Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre. We discussed in detail our cooperation in the production and use of drones. Our experience is already being used in the Middle East and the Gulf. We are improving defense against “shahed” drones, and we believe this should also be done in Europe. Today, for this purpose, we initiated a Drone Deal with Norway and signed a Joint Declaration on Enhanced Defense and Security Cooperation. Now our teams will work out the details. We also focused on our joint production projects and cooperation priorities for this year, and not only in defense. We continue to work together with partners to strengthen our countries. I personally thank Jonas, Norway, and all Norwegians for their military and energy support for Ukraine, for strengthening our air defense, and for their readiness to continue support for the PURL initiative. Today we're announcing our new office and autonomous fleet in Japan! 🙌 This has been a year in the making — here's the story behind Wayve's journey to Japan 🇯🇵 Just over one year ago I was looking over the Tokyo skyline as we were completing our Series C fundraise, wondering how our AI would navigate the narrow winding streets. At that point it was a dream, but in the last year, it has become reality. The right team at the right time: 6 months ago we made our first hire in Japan. I'm grateful for Masa Kameyama taking a bet on Wayve and for his partnership leading our presence in Japan (we have a lot of great people around Wayve called Masa 😄). I'm excited about the opportunity to welcome world-class and diverse experience to Wayve's team. We're hiring and building an awesome team in Japan! The right product at the right time: for a long time I've been impressed by Japanese automaker's scale and leadership in safety and lean manufacturing. Now I'm witnessing bold and brave decisions from automotive executives to lean into AV2.0. There is an opportunity for Japanese automakers to leap-frog other markets to be the first to bring AV2.0 to global scale. I am in ongoing contact with the Irish and British governments and I am working to support our citizens in the region. This war is reckless and irresponsible. Further escalation, including the involvement of the British government, reflects a dangerous disregard for international law. I will not be part of any briefing by the British government on their military operations. My priority is the safety and wellbeing of our citizens.
