It takes a lot of courage to run for Mayor in a city that houses the largest number of Jews outside Israel and denounce Zionism and stand for Palestinians. He brings hope. Like Obama once did. We don't know if he will get that far. But know what became of Obama.

Let’s not dilute ourselves over one single dogma. Harsh as it may sound, the world’s problems don’t start and end with Palestine. This man won’t be president of the USA; he’s running for mayor of New York City. That means his responsibilities are local, focused on New York’s social fabric, economy, public safety, education, housing, transportation, health services, social programs, environmental policy, and cultural affairs, not military decisions or foreign aid. When his platform calls for punishing hospitals that don’t cooperate with gender-affirming care, and pouring hundreds of millions into LGBTQ safety and promotion, that raises serious questions about his priorities. Let’s stay critical, not dogmatic. Supporting Palestine is important, yes, but not if it means burning down your own house in the process.
