Jason Day was asked after his round if the greens at the Masters felt similar to the Australian Sand Belt: “I think if they were a little bit firmer and faster, yes. But these greens, they were very receptive today. Yeah, they were very receptive today. “They could have -- it could have been a lot different. I expected to see it a little bit different than what I saw today. I mean, you were hitting shots in there that were spinning. “Typically sometimes you get to, you know, Saturday at Augusta and they're bouncing. It's really difficult to hold some shots. “So I thought the green speeds were lovely. I thought the green firmness was great. It was very fair, and I think that's why you're seeing a lot of, like, decent scores out there, which brings in a lot of the crowd, which is great.” Jason made 4 birdies in a row on his way to a 68 to sit T4 heading into the final round. Q: Esteban, new year, new rules, new car. You've had the first run out this morning at the Shakedown. What are the first impressions? How did the program go for you? Esteban Ocon: Yeah, feeling good. I think, frist of all, an unbelievable effort from the team really to put the car down, you know, at 9:20 this morning. But the was ready at 9:00 you know. We were waiting on a bit of a better track condition and a few things that we wanted to be perfect before we went out. But yeah, from Fiorano testing with Ollie to here there's been moving like people have climbed mountains really to make this car work and it's been really good. So, we are dealing with the plan, learning as it goes. Of course, it's a busy program that we have for the day. So you know, its gonna be difficult to complete it. But for the first real day of driving, I think so far it's going really well and we'll keep pushing to make sure that all the details are covered. But we have more days than normal which is a good thing. Q: Very early days, of course, but just how different are these cars to drive? Have you had a chance to play around a little bit with some of the new modes? Ocon: Yeah, it's very difficult, very complicated. I got lucky be able to do a lot of simulator days before we started the year, so we are pretty well set on that. Everything is clear, but yes, it's very complicated you know, for all of us. But I hope that this will be the same for everyone, because if it is we're in the same boat, so we'll see. Q: But I get the sense you're really relishing that challange and what about the priorities from here, the rest of the weel here at the shakedown? Ocon: Yeah, the aim is really to learn, to get mileage under the car, you know, see the weak points, what we have to improve really. First feel of things, so we are sure that we take the right development path and we are sure that we put the resources where it matters the most. Where it's the most bothering us, so you know, we'll try and put all that together for that end of the test. 🐶: uh, but… I asked hwang hyunjin to draw me something earlier, and he sent me a photo of the process halfway through... but, more than I expected, he’s actually making a masterpiece seriously… he seems to be putting so much effort into it, It’s really a huge work, a huge work. I think it’s going to be really big, and even the frame is going to be really big. the scale is no joke, everyone... what kind of drawing it is?! that’s a secret!! later, when I receive it, I’ll reveal it. of course, after getting permission from the artist!!

On the very next tee I had 190 and went with the 4hybrid and it wasn’t pure but it stayed straight and climbed to the green for another GIR. All in all a really good day. A few loose tee shot on the back for 38-42 and a solid 80.The goal is always breaking 80. Not today but next?

Justin Thomas is playing the Charles Schwab Challenge this week for the first time in 4 years. Ahead of the event, he said he builds his schedule around what best prepares him for the majors and it may change year to year: “Everybody's different. I would say the most, the first and foremost, most important thing that a lot of the top guys, a lot of, anybody that's in the majors, you're going to at least I would think, is what's going to prepare me the best for the major. So like I've had success in majors when I play the week before. “But playing San Antonio the week before the Masters for me doesn't feel like that's getting me prepared as much as possible for the Masters. Therefore, I don't play San Antonio. I had a year where the PGA, when it was at Southern Hills I wanted to play the week before Byron Nelson, it's easy travel, and I played the week before. So it's very situational of when you play, don't play in that regard. “But I mean I really, really, really try with all my might to not do four in a row, four in a row is like I'm not fun to be around. It's very taxing. So I try to cap it at three. “And, yeah, there's a lot of great tournaments, we're very fortunate to have to miss some great events, but you have to at some point. Scottie Scheffler has made golf look easy over the last few years, but he’s clearly frustrated with his game this week: “I felt like I was going to shoot about 90 today. “I don't know if you were out there on the course, but I was going to be hard to find if you were out watching my group. I felt like I got my first birdie putt of the day on the 13th hole. I maybe had one on 11, but I couldn't imagine I hit more than six or seven greens today. So around this golf course, with heavy rough and deep bunkers, you got to be hitting the ball in the right spots and for a long time today that was definitely not the case for me.” Scottie was visibly frustrated yesterday at the Memorial and had a long, heated discussion with his caddie Ted Scott after dunking a ball into the water. After rallying with 3 birdies in his last 6 holes today for a level par 72, he currently sits T20 and he was asked how proud he was to comfortably make the cut after looking in danger earlier in the round: “I think I grind like that every day. I think that's just part of the game. That's maybe some of the worst I've hit it in a couple years out there and I still managed to shoot even par around a golf course that requires to you strike the ball really well. Yeah, I'm definitely very proud of stuff like that. “This tournament was one that definitely could have got away from me, but right now I'm only nine shots back and still have a chance going into the weekend. Farewell to International Space Station! This is truly a special place, special mission, and special team that makes it happen. It is a bittersweet departure today – I have a keen awareness that I may never be back here, and even if I was, it would be at a different time with a different crew. This chapter is over. Spaceflight has always been a life goal, and it has turned into a life-fulfilling endeavor – but not for the reasons I thought growing up. When I was young, I pictured the launch, the incredible ball of fire and the acceleration, the spacewalks (how could you not wonder what it’s like to be in that suit?), and I was fascinated by the shuttles, capsules, and stations. But as I complete this second mission living and working in space, what draws me to this job is the people. Experiences like this are amazing, but the relationships we build that make it possible are the “why.” Every day, this mission depends on people from all over the world, of different nationalities, races, religions, and cultures. It depends on government and commercial entities, it depends on all political parties, and it depends on commitment to an unchanged goal over many years and decades. It depends on people dedicated to being part of something bigger than themselves, whose names may never be known but who wake up every day to make the world a better place and to be part of something they will be proud to tell their grandkids about. History will look kindly upon them. Humans have always had a propensity to explore … across lands and oceans, up mountains, and into the sky. We as a species will never stop wondering what else is out there, and what it would be like to go. But then, in the words of TS Elliot, “…at the end of all our exploring, will be to arrive where we started, and know the place for the first time.” Crew-10 is on its way home.

Keegan Bradley was asked about the treatment of Wyndham Clark by the New York fans at last week’s US Open: “I think that golf is in the process of leaving just the golf world, where people are coming to tournaments that are sports fans and that's how, you know, people in New York cheer on the Knicks or the Giants or whatever. And they're coming to tournaments and they're sports fans, and they're golfers, but I think that we're entering a time where the game is really growing in popularity. I think people are coming to golf tournaments to have a good time. “I found it a little surprising, considering Wyndham's American, and at the U.S. Open, but Scottie Scheffler's a really popular player going for the Grand Slam. Unfortunate, but hey, I mean, Wyndham won, so he handled it really well.
