With 206 players and 83 federations from across the world, the event was truly a chess juggernaut and India’s moment on the global stage. Our sincere thanks to Aadarniya Pradhan Mantri Shri Narendra Modi ji for motivating us and for his constant support to chess. Our deepest regard to Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Dr Mansukh Mandaviya ji, Chief Minister of Goa Shri Pramod Sawant ji and his government for their support and personal interest in organising the FIDE World Cup. Thanks to all the players, officials and colleagues of the All India Chess Federation and Goa Chess Association for their efforts, teamwork and dedication in making this tournament historic and a textbook case.
