Remember Arteta explaining why he wants the pass from full-back to winger on an angle, not straight. Brighton Clip: FB a bit narrower → angled pass → easier for Trossard to play round the corner & use the air→ Gyokeres reacts to the pass. Leeds Clip: FB wider → straighter pass → harder to play but credit Trossard’s ability to rotate his hips and still find it→ This time Gyokeres is already on the move, anticipating it. Clear sign of a growing player relationship between Trossard & Gyokeres 🤝

This is facts and I'd even give two clear examples a lot of Arsenal fans may remember. Last season when we played Brentford at home, Saka was on an attack for us and he did not have a clear chance to shoot the ball, Gyokeres was down in the middle and squaring that pass would have resulted in an easier goal for us but Ska chose to shoot, luckily the ball went in but Kelleher had a bad punch on the ball which is why the ball even went in. Chelsea vs Arsenal Carabao cup semi final, Saka was on an attack again, he could have played the cross first time in for Gyokeres but he decided to cut back before now passing to Ben White who eventually squared it to Gyokeres, luckily for Gyokeres, Robert Sanchez let the ball slip underneath him which resulted in Gyokeres tapping the ball in. If you see Gyokeres's reaction in the buildup to the goal, he got frustrated Saka did not release the ball to him on time. There are many more occassions similar to this from Saka, Martinelli, Odegaard and co where they could have released Gyokeres quickly but chose not to. So yeah, this tweet I quoted is absolutely spot on.

Here is another lie on Gyokeres's name, you will see in the two videos that both situations are very identical and Odegaard decided to play it safe the first time instead of releasing Gyokeres. We also can see how when he decided to actually playba through ball to Gyokeres it resulted in a goal. This is what many of us have been pointing out, a lot of times last season our wingers and midfielders delayed their passes to Gyokeres or just even opted for a safe option instead. So this whole narrative of his teammates not trusting is complete nonsense, especially when it is obvious this guy is the best finisher in the club.

Arsenal didn't break Gyokeres last night. They've been breaking him for months, and everyone's pretending they just noticed. Let's be honest about what's actually happening here. Our wingers are ball-hogging. Full stop. Cutting in for their own glory shots instead of squaring it, instead of that diagonal or horizontal pass that puts Gyokeres through on goal. Over and over. Same selfish pattern, same wasted runs. Eventually a striker stops making the run nobody's going to reward. Gyokeres was signed to thrive on quick transitions, counters, direct combination play, and 1V1. Instead we shoved him into a possession system that builds in pockets and clusters and told him to "adapt." You didn't sign a system player and reinvent him into one. You bought a goal scoring weapon and put it in a museum case. What??? His only good moments? Eze creating for him. Martinelli linking behind him. Both happened when Odegaard was out. The second the captain came back, the system reset to pre-Gyokeres Arsenal, and his form died with it. And then, insult to injury, they benched him for Havertz. Fine, Havertz is in form. But you don't fix a striker's confidence crisis by burying him further. Everyone's ready to roast Gyokeres for Ipswich. Low touches, no energy, "doesn't fit," blah blah. But that performance wasn't the fire. It was the smoke from a fire that's been burning for months while everyone looked away. Arteta talks a big game about player mental health. Here's his test. This is exactly the situation he claims he's built for. Rally the dressing room around a striker in crisis or watch the club's biggest summer investment rot on the bench. And here's the question nobody wants to ask: what happens when Havertz gets injured and Gyokeres still hasn't found his form? Who scores the goals then? Don't @ me with the Merino false 9 nonsense either. That's not a plan, that's a symptom of the same problem. No matter how brilliant the experiment is, it is always a makeshift situation that lacks grit.

Kai Havertz against Wolves 3 weeks ago, the guy that normally never stops running, couldn’t give anymore 🤷‍♂️ Very telling, you could see it coming from a mile off. Gross negligence from the club, feel really sorry for Kai.

I could show you a catalogue of moments where Saka isn’t even looking for Gyokeres in the box. His instinct is to cut back and shoot. He sees himself as the main man at Arsenal, and rightly so, but football is still a team game. You could see Gyokeres’ frustration yesterday when Saka didn’t put the cross into his path. Those are the sort of situations why we signed him. It’s something Arteta needs to find a solution to. Maybe moving Saka to the left forces him to cross earlier and attack the danger zone.

That would be Erik Ten Hag, broke more negative records at United than he won games, got sacked in his next job after 3 games and is now a technical director for some Dutch nobodies? That fella? And it's Ronaldo that just won a league title thats never recovered?
