I had the tremendous privilege and blessing of dedicating the Bahía Blanca Argentina Temple today. It was a great honor to be invited by the First Presidency of the Church to dedicate this house of the Lord. This temple will be a blessing to these saints as they come and make covenants with the Lord. It is wonderful that we can commune with the Lord in His temple, worship Him, learn from Him, and receive revelation to guide our lives. I invite all to enjoy the blessings of the temple. While here in Bahia Blanca, I was able to see the son of a missionary who served in Portugal while my wife and I were mission leaders in Porto Portugal Mission more than 20 years ago. It was exciting to see an extraordinary second-generation missionary inviting others to come unto Jesus Christ in Argentina, a land that was dedicated for the preaching of the gospel one hundred years ago.

Pioneers began constructing the temple in 1853 with it taking 40 years to build. The temple was built to last through the Millenium and has lasted for 132 years thus far. The recent renovation work started in 2019 and is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2027.
