What a show this was!

Fantastic show. I loved listening to him reading the Italian papers sipping his coffee. I was transported to some mysterious cool foreign land. Loved it

Italian football was the best in Europe, until the premier league really got going.

I haven't been envious of many people in my life, but James Richardson on Gazzetta Football Italia was one of them. Broadcasting each week from a usually beautiful location, talking about football in the then best league in the world - and getting paid for it! Fortunato!

Football is not just for those who are unsophisticated; Mr Richardson proved that it is also, quite wonderfully, appreciable by the erudite.

Erudite chat, an huge bowl of Italian Galeto, great intro music, fab locations and a review of the footie. James Richardson was brilliant. His perfect Italian and talking to camera made the show. Shame the afternoon match was a bore fest!
