Japanese malls are cool because they’re vertical, usually above a train station, have no wasted space, and every product is well-made and produced in Japan.

Convert some space for living. Open up the food courts, arcades, and movie theaters, you'd habe a kick ass retirement home with an indoor area large enough for them to get their steps in unaided.
