Democrats are planning a color revolution after the midterms. They are calling for violence.

Well Becky, I’m not sure but I think you are adorable. I would just like to say thank God someone has the forethought to prepare our country. Your best line is if the government is preparing then so am I. Words to live by.

Is it possible that Hegseth has done an analysis of vulnerabilities at bases and this is just getting all the bases to a minimum level of readiness. Seems like not doing this could have been the last administration’s terminal inability to understand second and third order consequences? Just spitball’n though.

It should be part of being ready. In other words, it should be an ongoing process to keep the military going when they may need to be called on for any reason. Seems like a reason is coming up with the rats planning a coup

I already beat you to the toilet paper, y'all aren't going to stress me out at the last minute again. I've got bottled water, my Harvey filter has been serviced, I've got canned goods, flour, and enough whiskey to not remember anything but the highlights of this war afterwards.

I’m thinking Hegseth is the first military leader in decades to plan ahead and truly be prepared.

no power for 30 days kills most of the population. 90 days means just the country fools survive. ammo is a resource

I believe it is just good policy for our military bases to have the ability to self-support for an extended period. We civilians should be prepared as well. Whether we have an emergency or not, we should be confident that we have done all we can to protect our family.

I’m thinking why 90 days why not 30 why not 180 in other words what is significant about the 90 days? I will point this out: I live in a community where there is elite forces station from the Air Force and the Army. This information has been out for a few days now and yet I’m not seeing any mad rush at (Walmart) or panic or even any conversation about it in the community chat groups and we’re talking about fairly small towns around these bases-that would be big news! But life is going on as normal.

It's a good time to get prepared Think about not only your food and TP Think about security - do you stay or do you go to friends/family Pretend this was an announcement. The grid will go down on 1 Nov at noon What are YOU personally going to do? Plan it if it never happens? ok

My guess is electrical grid, not necessarily trucking routes. The problem though is that would affect all computer systems (inventory), refrigeration, and internet. Hopefully it's just new regulations for them to be prepared in the event of an emergency, or like you said, just a psyop.

Perhaps the military bases have been neglected so much that this is the effort needed to get them back to the standard

As it should have always been. Khrushchev in the early '60's was proof enough. We can be hit at any time. Enough to really de-stabilize everything. Seems we're always reacting instead of being pro-active. This to me is pro-active, not fear mongering as some would have it... 🥃🕶️

Its a preparedness plan. It should have already been like that. You should already also be prepared.

For the American bases, there is a simpler answer: leftist violence

Forward thinking. We have to be prepared in the event of any type of ground invasion. It also signals to the world to second guess any kind of military action on our continent.

The city of Moscow has a plan for a bomb shelter that can potentially house the entire city with sustenance for 48 hours in the event of a nuclear or otherwise similar situation. What has your city planned for you?

It is a bit disconcerting, but I agree with you. It's good to be prepared just in case.

I live within a mile of a large Air Force Base. Everybody around here are going about their business. No panic, people aren't even talking about this. My opinion, until I hear it straight from the horse's mouth like Trump Hegseth or Rubio, I'm taking it all with a grain of salt.

It's that AI has become this powerful and China has the potential to turn our lights off for a bit now. From the American side, already advises households to keep several days of food, water and basics because power or help may not return right away after a disruption. China-linked groups have been documented prepositioning in US energy, water and telecom systems for potential future sabotage, and AI tools are accelerating how fast those kinds of attacks can be planned. The Pentagon’s FORTRESS initiative is also pushing major bases toward 90-day independent power, water and fuel capability if the civilian grid is hit. Stocking more than the official minimum is treated as ordinary self-reliance here rather than something extreme.

The official claim is that this is a long-term game plan. To always have 90-days worth of emergency supplies at any given time.

It’s common sense in my opinion. It’s common sense for everyone but even more so for our military bases and outposts

In the event of a "Great Power Conflict" the internet goes bye-bye in the first hour. Everything else goes dead in the hours and days after that. That's been true for years. The Pentagon is only now getting around to doing something about it.

I’d say it could be procedure or some people call it that way. But there’s a lot happening in many countries and yes, they’re saying the same thing (90 days) 🫠😖

Cybersecurity threats are definitely shifting up a gear... zero-day exploits by AI agents are now fact, not theory. That increases the possibility of infrastructure / communications / banking attacks. The military prep upgrade is part of a larger improvement to military readiness, but the public announcement of it raised my eyebrows. I wouldn't panic, but id be taking it seriously.
