Religion is a cult! Leave people the f*ck alone and let them be who they are if they aren’t hurting anyone! Stop using your “religion” and “god” to be bigoted f*cktards!!

Marriage doesn't belong to any particular religion though.

I think it’s interesting he asked “should I be able to marry the man of my dreams” and she walked it through religious framing and then ended on taxation. Not love, but instead the church and something the church doesn’t pay. Church marriage has nothing to do with state marriage.

She said .. there going to ask “for more “ like what basic human rights that everyone else fucking gets

how boring is your life that you have to constantly be worried about who othwrs marry

It shouldn’t even be talked about. It shouldn’t even be up for debate. Stay out of Peoples’s lives. It’s that simple. Unless someone is trying to fuck a child, let them marry who the want. The. End.

But when a man & woman need a divorce they don’t go to a church to settle financials, it’s in the court of law. People deadset against gay marriage but have no issue with children being married off. That’s straight people mental thinking for you

Respectfully tho! Gay people have nothing to do with the ‘A’ people. Gay people have been around for thousands of years. It’s insane that we’re still having this discussion about the validity of Homosexuality! It’s real and we’re out here living life like the rest of society!

Marriage is just a partnership just like adoption , two people go in on agreement to handle each other affairs because of being very close with each other / living life together. There is nothing involving gender roles in the marriage because of infertile couples.

This is the dumbest way to argue for the most obvious answer 😂

So you can’t get married unless you’re straight and Christian? Great plan

Disagree, there are plenty of reasons a gov. should promote man/woman marriage! Its literally the building block of society.

Non religious people can get married, it doesn’t belong to anyone and that’s the overarching issue. The government doesn’t get to say so and neither does the damn church—churches need to pay taxes.

Since many have negative thoughts on gay marriage, I got a better one for you…. Those who commit adultery & marry the person they’ve committed adultery w/(once divorced from previous spouse) is in a SINFUL marriage. What are your thoughts? #SOMENOTREADYFORTHATCONVO

Marriage has always been legally binding. 2000 years ago was a woman not a man’s property under marriage? She was, and that wasn’t just through religion, it was under the law. I think she came up with this answer to not piss off christian fans, and it’s pathetic hypothetical

The idea that marriage belongs to the the church is a false notion. First of all, Marriage is older than Christianity. Secondly there’s plenty of examples of non abrahamic religions/ cultures utilizing marriage.

Oh wow I didn’t know that. The government need to mind they damn business.

Religion is a cult and a business opportunity for pastors to manipulate and control people while making tons of money. I would know. I spent my whole life in church and feel like I wasted half of my life trying to please man and not God

Gay marriage or Goy marriage, never know theses days

I think Candace don't have any actual opinion. She will side every and each time with the winner (be it Democrats or Republicans). She's a scheming asshole. And she's full of crap.

Most reasonable take I've ever heard from this woman.

Marriage existed long before her religion did. So how exactly does marriage belong to it?

@grok did marriage exist before the churches got involved?

Agreed!

People act like marriage originated with, or is unique to Christianity… they were most definitely not the first

Candace 😔😔. The Bible also said that contrast interracial marriages between heterosexual couples are discouraged, slavery is legal, interfaith marriages between heterosexual couples are sinful and yet you focused on same-sex marriages?! We need to know the relevance of time.

Oh, boy.
