Good people don't illegally invade another country. Shoot, even most bad people don't do that.

Ok, @joerogan, you consider yourself a good person, right? Would you SNEAK into any other country and then just take up residence and gain free benefits from that government knowing you're hurting the population of citizens in that country. all while sending $ out the country

Sorry Joe, here in Texas we have been overwhelmed by illegal migration. Our school, hospitals, apartment complexes, stores, roads, parks are overwhelmed. I have so much empathy for the people and I understand why they came here, but this is not sustainable.

This issue goes back decades. Politicians ignored the problem, pushing the responsibility to the next incoming administration. Since no one was deported, people realized it didn't matter since the immigration laws were ignored for various political and economic reasons. Those who came into this country broke the law but no one seemed to care and this escalated over time. Here we are 50 years later having to clean up the mess of all those those that refused to follow the law. Of course its messy. Of course families will be affected. This is why we can't have a lawless nation. Agree or disagree, if you want change, lobby your congress and make your voice heard. Fighting about it will ultimately just lead to making a lot if lawyers rich, and some poor souls may pay the ultimate price with their lives. Imho.

Lost me on “case by case basis.” How the hell are you supposed to do that when the prior administration let tens of millions of unvetted illegals into the country? What would stop another democrat admin from doing it again if they knew it would take decades to undo?

I see his point. Logically it a sound stance. I won’t argue that The US needs these folks in our labor force. But they are here illegally. Somehow they should be expedited through the process so they can stay and remain productive.

If you broke into the US how are you a "good person"? You bumped the next guy who is waiting in line to enter properly. You cant enter any country you want because your good. Try it in another country next time they ask for your passport. "I don't have one but I'm a good person". I like Joe but just disagree on this one.

Evaluating "people on a case by case basis" is what we were supposed to be doing at the border.
