What are your thoughts on what he has to say?

Peter Frampton has said that he went from being the biggest rockstar in the world(frampton comes alive!)to a “bust” in the late 70’s pretty quick because he stopped writing songs he liked and wanted to hear and wrote what he thought his fans wanted.

His success speaks for itself. If this is his process then it obviously works.

@WillGuthrieFoto he’s absolutely right.

When it is for commerce it is not art it is a product! Totally agreed

It’s true

A presidential candidate whose beliefs are based on the latest poll numbers will never seem very presidential. Likewise, “art” inspired by analytics won’t resonate much like art. The quality necessary to create great art resides in the human soul, not an excel spreadsheet.

He’s talking about authenticity, and eventually the audience recognizes that.

I don't subscribe to this all or nothing approach. Yes, you write stuff that interests you or you are invested in, but if you are doing it for commercial purposes, you have to consider your audience.

💯 Agree. If people don’t like what you’re putting out, then that’s their problem. Most artists, no matter the genre, create for themselves, not money. Freedom of creative expression fuels your soul…no amount of money or accolades could ever rival that. ✨💖✨
