Place turkey in pot, pour in water until turkey is just covered. Pull turkey out and then mark the water line. Pour out water and then fill with oil to the mark. Heat the oil to 350°, turn off burner and slowly lower turkey into the pot. Turn on burner.

Why do this inside your home?

That's what I'm saying

@Rexgriddlecakes And with a gallon to much grease. Ppl are dumb.

@Mappy6984

First time frying a turkey. Happy Thanksgiving!

I had to watch this for a minute and a half only to find out nothing went wrong.

The right way to cook a turkey

honestly surprised more people don't use these for deep frying their turkeys these days

It's the crab walk away from the door with her treats for me 😂

HE PUT A LID ON IT?!

Decisions Decisions.

Made mine deep fried today

And then, he walks away.

Nothing actually, he did everything right. Long as it’s thawed and you don’t drop it in there like the firefighters be demonstrating every year, should be no problems

POV: men cooking be like

Everyone has that one uncle at Thanksgiving

No gloves. Garage door shut. Flame still flaming. Probably no fire extinguisher nearby. yolo baby. Fuck it.

Smartest thing I’ve seen all day… turkey dipped in oil inside a garage … 👏 Risking a house to cook a $20 Turkey in $80 worth of oil. 🤔🤔

The ocean is endangered by a single household here

Nothing if it's 100% thawed and oil is measured properly. But doing it IN the garage is next level dumbass

I got that same deep fryer he went way past the full line 🤣

Why cover it? 😬

Too much oil, flame is on while lowering, frying indoors, no seasoning. Stick to microwaveable dinners my friend.

As long as it doesn’t touch 😂

Let me count the ways: 1) INSIDE the Garage 2) No long leather gloves 3) No fire extinguisher nearby 4) No temperature probe in oil 5) Oil not up to 350 temp as 350 degree oil boils and splatters a lot more when you lower turkey in. The turkey will soak up oil if oil not up to correct temp 6) No splatter shield for the floor-- cardboard works.

Fried on counter fryer.

The second most dangerous thing EVER invented right after my grandpas “Gas Powered PoGo Stick”!! 😳

I just wasted 90 seconds of my life waiting for the chaos that never came.

Right on the border of too much oil. 😅

Turn off the gas first

supposed to turn off the flame when ya lower it in

Why I wanna know is why are people deep frying WHOLE turkey’s. Why are you not roasting them! Then again if you do this is natural selection at its finest. You’ll either a) give yourself a heart attack sooner or b) set yourself on fire from pure stupidity

wayyyyy too much oil

This must be the house that blew up in Maine.

But it might … 1) don’t do it indoors 2) switch off flame when putting the turkey in 3) don’t cover the pot … what did I forget? The rest seems to be fine
