Beef tongue and it's a delicacy. Very good meat.

My mom use to pull it out of the pot and lick green stamps with it.

That is a tongue...probably a "Cow's tongue" but probably from a slaughtered steer. Used to be common in Southern grocery stores, and probably cheap because we were penniless when I was a kid and we ate them often. Actually good tasting, but strange.

I wouldn’t eat that even if I was paid a million dollars. 🤮

Tongue, pure muscle, zero fat. It's a preference taste, I'm more of a rib-eye type of guy. Fat = flavour. I need salt and pepper, nothing else. No sauces and fancy marinades.

Beef tongue. It looks like it's been smoked after cooking to remove the outer skin. I'd try like that on some marble or pumpernickel rye with whole grain mustard and either caramelized onions or pickled red onion.

Beef tongue very expensive, we use to smoke them in the smoke house and sell them to rich folks when I lived on a farm my dad was a butcher. It is full of good protein and very tender....makes a great samich too!

Its hard to cook tongue, slow cook, then the hard part is taking the skin off the meat.

It’s beef tongue and if you boil it you can make saliva soup.
