He also kept Schumacher on old clutch at Spa1991, despite Schumacher himself warning him beforehand. And, it was the reason Schumacher retired at Lap1.

In these days, something like that is unheard of as safetymeasures forbid situations like this but in the "old days", you sometimes had to work with what you got and make the most of it.

I’d like to think EJ got confused with the earlier days of Motorsport. Some of his stories have been mixed up lately. Especially the ffs podcast referring to Fisi as Jarno in the Ralph Episode.
