ah yes, the old " let me save money in this component/part only for it to fail and cost me even more money than it would if i changed it" Seriously, Canada is already a demanding track for brakes and he made the team use parts that were old/reconditioned?

In these days, something like that is unheard of as safetymeasures forbid situations like this but in the "old days", you sometimes had to work with what you got and make the most of it.
